I really disaprove Disney for release Gargoyles: Season Two Volume One against Walt Disney Treasures Wave 5....
Hopefully Gargoyles will sell well.

I don't know why you are disapproving ... they released Season One the same day the WDT came out last year ... and obviously it sold well to warrant the big support behind the other Cartoon TV Shows (proof :: Ducktales and Chip n' Dale's RR are coming out in November) ...
So I am sure that Season Two Volume One will sell just as well on December 6 ... as it did when it was up against the Treasures last year ...

Why do they release it in volumes? Why not just release it as one whole season?

Price mostly. There are 52 episodes in the second season. That would fill several discs, which means the full entire set of season 2 would be very high priced for a fairly newer show for kids to pay up. By cutting it into 2 parts, they lower the price....or least make it seem lower

Yeah, 52 episodes would be a lot of disks.

Sorry, last year I didn't get Gargoyes ( It was a gift from my UD Secret Santa). Costco didn't have Gargoyes. I guess fans bought all three Treasures last year and Gargoyles.
Yes, I'm buying DuckTales and Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers I grew up with them and Toon Disney doesn't air them.
Sorry man I really thought it came out the next week after the Treasures releases.

No Problem MMP ...
I was expecting the S2v1 release the same day as Treasures ... So I wasn't surprised ...
That day was an expensive one for me ... Since I pre-ordered WDT and GargS1 from amazon.com ...
I guess I am going to be doing the same thing this year LOL

Woo hoo! I got mentioned on the home page!
And I was dubbed a resident Gargoyles expert....I so rock!!!
I gotta watch that ego....
Here's something you may find amusing. On a bike ride one day, I discovered "claw marks" in the road. Risking life and limb, I took pictures of them
