The attack on Spirited Away in the last round didn't piss me off that much. The attacks on Only Yesterday & Ocean Waves were far more brutal.
Personally, I will never understand how someone can vote off Spirited Away so soon, a film that the national critics named one of the ten BEST animated films of ALL TIME! However, as I recall, Mr. Toad wasn't the one who voted for it, it was a second alliance that has had their way with the Miyazaki films up untill now. Personally, I don't see why we can't give immunity to some important features.

Just because a film is special in the eyes of some, others may find it boring. Just because a film is critically acclaimed or a classic or whatever, I do not see why they should have any sort of immunity. I mean if this film is as good as you say, why did people get rid of it?
Besides sometimes good films leave for a greater good!

Yes, after all, "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut" was the first movie voted out. It left the first round with the most votes. At that moment, I knew nothing was safe.

Maybe because Spirited Away caters to a more sophisticated taste. I don't know, but that COULD be a possibility.

Lion King, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Incredibles, The Toy Story films, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Treasure Planet, Monster's Inc. and Emperor's New Groove and many other films have left early and you complaining about Spirted Away!
