Well, that's just silly! :p

I have a question

I don't get this whole post count thing why does it matter how much you have once you can use an avatar already :?:

Some people like habing a lot of posts to see what level they reach next... ex.. 'Collector's Edition'.

Personally I don't pay much attention to the post count until I hit a centennial number or something neat like 666. :P I just like posting for fun and it appears I post a lot. I really have no life right now! I'm sure it annoys some people... 'Hey that guy hasn't been here a year and he has more posts than me!' ...which sounds pretty silly but I knew someone at another forum who was mad because I had a lot of posts. I pointed out that during my first two years on the site I only mustered 100 posts but whatever I said they were too upset.

oh to tell you the truth I don't even care it's not like the level you reach is anything big

but then Luke did a good job with the games/poll sections since some people do make their title a big deal :)

Aw, man! This happens the day I finally began to participate in the games and polls section! What timing, eh?

But that's cool with me, actually; if I was trying to boost my post count, I would have been posting there a long time ago! I know of another forum (which shall remain nameless but has nothing to do with Disney) where certain people use their high post count as an excuse to proclaim that they are smarter than everyone else and to belittle the comments of the smaller status "newbies" that they don't agree with. I'm happy to say I haven't seen the status get to people's heads like that here.

Now I'll admit that I like to watch my post count grow, but I don't think I've ever made a post just to see my number go up. And it's probably a good thing that the games and polls section doesn't count anymore; as you said, it may help make sure that people are there for the fun of it, not just to boost their numbers. And I'm all for keeping the bandwidth in check.

Assuming you're all posting in these threads for fun, then the change in post counts shouldn't affect play at all. But I figured I'd let you know!
Thanks Luke! Now I won't feel so GUILTY about posting there anymore...since it IS only for fun!

Yeah, some threads are 10 and 20 pages long. :D I haven't visited any large Pocahontas or Lion King threads in a while. I still visit the birthday and " Just Wondering? / Your Disney Story..." threads though.

yes, because the point of posting in GD, OT, ID, Trade, or Feedback is post your opinion on the topic. while in P&G, it's just for fun.

Nothing evil about it Fullhousegurl! Like orestes. said, it's for the best! :D

I'm glad Luke did the "no post count to P&G"! now I don't feel bad about participating in the FUN games such as "Disney 20 Questions..." ;)

Hey Luke you know me latley I have been MIA several times but I am trying to make my visits as frequent as possible since this place is like a 2nd home and all. So I fianlly just got to this thread and have a few questions.

1. First Question is my avatar size okay? If not how can I shrink it cause I can do that also.

2.To give donations to the site where do I go to do that and how? I cant recall if you posted a link or something. You know me short trem memory and sometimes miss the details.

I'm not Luke but I can answer your first question. Your avatar is okay. :) (yours is 89X89)

However I'm still not sure how some could get away with larger avatars while some of us have to have tiny ones. :P
