Max's Hair was the worst. They tried an effect but it simply doesnt work, if you look closely shades of BROWN slide in.
I think it would be great re-animated.

Mixed reviews on this one! I haven't purchased this dvd yet. It's a new look for sure. Disney has a lot of catching up to do. Stories were enjoyable and the 3D wasen't to bad for there first run. It's going to take getting used to for sure! I give it 3 out of 5 for DTV title.

Well I bought this movie the day it came out and I just recnelty got around to opening it and watching it. Before I watched it I poped in the first one you know just to compare stories and all. And i have to say I am a bit dissapointed.
CGI: Well I never have been all for it and wasn't when I heard this movie was going to be realsed that way however I will admit that the characters didnt look to bad.But did they look great No. It was just werid they didnt look normal awith the exception of a few ( Donald and and Dasiy looked okay, Pluto did too. But the rest just sort of look like they are missing that special something.
Stories: The stories were not thats great I was actually dissapointed you know they were so short the biggest let down story wise was the Goofy short with Max. Its more like qwhere is the story sure it was told by song but there could have been more. And alos thats also where I think the characters looked the worse they looked like plastic figures but thats just me.
Where were they???: Where were Chip and Dale I mean they are part of the gang and especially in the Donald shorts I missed them.
Overall the movie wasnt terrible it just could have been so much better considering this is Mickey's 2nd mvoie this year I think the three Musketeers was a lot better.

As experiment is a good one,but as the "new and revolutonary method than'll replace 2d animation" it's trutly a shame

Well, I picked mine up today and I just finished watching it. I must tell you that I went it this with a negative feeling - but it was alright

especially the Donald Duck shorts. I do feel that something is missing - and this is just my opinion - but I think the love that Walt Disney himself put into his animation is just not there anymore, his studios have lost that.

Again, it was alright - but it did not leave me with that special feeling. I do miss Walt after all these years.

They missed the mark totaly with the train in Max's story. It looked like a toy train. Why didn't they model it after our XPT (Xpensive Political Trash AKA Xpress Passenger Train):

.
Realisitcaly they could of put a bit of creative effort and tried to brak away from the moulds with the stories, it would of at least made up for the animation. Why didnt they do something smart for the adults but with comic interest for the kids? Why wasnt Goofy's character model finished? Why on earth dont they dress the characters in some modern fasion? Why didnt they give Mickey a realistic looking car? Why the hell didnt I make the film myself?

For me the biggest problem was the stories, I didn't mind the animation that much. I know it's not exactly cutting edge but I think it would have been weird if the characters were too detailed! I think the simple look, helps them retian some of the quality of teh old cartoons. The CGI squashes and stretches like a 2D film would have. Anyway it could be worse, for example look at ''In search of Santa''! That makes MTUaC lok like finding nemo!
Like I say the biggest disappointment for me was the story!

I saw Mickey's Twice Upon Christmas and I was first really looking forward to see everyone as 3D, but it was a quite disappointment to me. Little stories were quite boring and 3D characters weren't as beautiful as I thought they would be.

Fortunately I didn't buy this DVD.
