I don't think that's the actual countdown; that is simply an ITV special from the looks of things and the description. Plus the Top 100 Family Films thing is being done by Channel 4.

Make Mine Music or
Saludos Amigos will pop up, as I haven't seen them (maybe seen
Saludos, not sure) but I sincerely doubt it. We'll get yet another showing of
Mary Poppins, most likely (as theBBC would dub it patronisingly) as a "Boxing Day treat".

Well naturally! If we don't get Mary Poppins on Xmas day, quite frankly Xmas isn't bothering with IMO. A Xmas without teh poppins, is nothing I want to be part of! It's tradition!

Although as every year. A large portion of the TV listings still have "to be announced" holes all over the place, and i doubt a single one of those films if they do turn up will be at any of those times, the time table always gets changed about 9 million times before the final version is put out!

If anyone has sky and the new Disney Cinemagic i suggest checking that out, they show roughly 2-4 movies each day, and they dont show the same thing over and over again. Alot of the old classics are being played just lately and the old live action movies.

I was surprised to see BBC1 showing The Hunchback of Notre Dame on Sunday. I might be wrong but I really can't remember the BBC ever screening an animated classic before and on the rare occasions that an animated classic is shown on British terrestrial tv it has always been ITV. Anyone know what the deal is here?

The BBC have shown some animated classics in the past. They've shown
Mulan, The Three Caballeros and
Robin Hood at least once in the past two years or so, and they've also screened both
Toy Stories, A Bug's Life, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Pete's Dragon, The Reluctant Dragon, Mary Poppins and
Song of the South in my lifetime.
