I hope these treasures have a "play all" feature like the first wave did. I was annoyed when the second wave did not have this feature.

I am very excited about this news as well, just saw it on the homepage and now here. It seems to me there should be more than 21 MM cartoons, but oh well... I guess a lot of you would know better. I still think, though it probably won't be the case, that the Mickey and the Beanstalk cartoon, should be included. (I know it is part of Fun and Fancy Free, but when I used to have the VHS, it was considered a mini classic, and BO BO the bear or whatever, was nowhere to be found on the tape.) I really want this cartoon, but don't want to have to pay $15 to have it, which is the price at Wal-mart and the cheapest I've seen yet.
All this talk of title cards, and different series confuses me. I just hope I can trust Disney that they will actually release
every short. From what I've heard, certain cartoons, are missing from previous sets...
I would think that it is possible that the Wise Little Hen might appear in an (easter?) egg. But then again I would think the same thing about goffy's debut, but I don't think it was released. I have as of yet to get this DVD.
Anyway really excited about MMILC, DD, and OTFL.
Oh, and one more thing. Mickey got 4 sets, so it is very possible that Donald might get 4.

Not having PLAY ALL is a smart precaution on Disney's part. They don't want parents buying this for their kids, they want it for TRUE classic animation fans, so PLAY ALL is unneccesary.

that has nothing to do with that, play all is easier than having to press enter for each cartoon! i hope they
DO include a PLAY ALL!

I, personally, would never use the "play all" feature, as I like to savour the cartoons, and there for like to watch them in snippets, rather than one big sitting, which I may have started to do w/ MMILC, I don't remember. Any way this doesn't effect me either way. But if the majority of the buyers, would prefer it than I hope it does get it
Personally, more important to me is a chronilogical listing, which is not present for Silly Symphonies. Even if their format did not allow for chronilogical listing, original release dates would have been nice.

It's been reported the PLAY ALL is missing as Disney wanted to make sure the correct disclaimer was shown before the cartoons on the Mickey B/W and Goofy sets.

If they made the disclaimers a chapter on the actual cartoons, then they could do it where applicable, and still include a "Play All." And the disclaimers could still be easily skipped.

Many of the disclaimers repeat though. I think this is why they decided not to have a play all - the same disclaimer would pop-up 'x' times.
Somebody of HTF said this was the reason. Personally I don't think missing a Play All option is a big deal.

There will not be a play-all feature in any of these upcoming Treasuries except maybe the Mickey Mouse In Living Color set. It has nothing to do with disclaimers, it's because these DVD's are intended for the avid Disney collector and not for children to be placed in front of a television set for hours watching these shorts which may contain controversial content. Disney is trying to avoid this by removing the play-all option in order for parents to have the control over their child's viewing of these cartoons, that way they can skip through possible shorts which may contain controversial subject matter.

And would the parents know which ones were controversial? I don't think that is the reason, parent wise, to take it out or leave it.

No matter what the reason, I think it's fair to say the controversial subject matter had something to do with the missing play all function.
It's no biggie. If you really want a play all - learn how to program a sequence into your player!

now how did i miss this thread!!! I checked the site last night and it hadn't been created and now it had 3 pages!!!!
I am so looking forward to the frontlines Treasure set because of all the war stuff going on right now in the world. I don't know if it is good timing or not!
tomorrowland looks promising as well!!!! I wasn't expecting 4 Treasures this year...hopefully the rumors will become reality!
I read earlier in this thread that each will have a production run of 125,000. Is that confirmed? I am not sure as to why Disney had 150,000 for the first wave and 125,000 for the second wave. Could they actually go less??

they'll decrease 25,000 each time... oh boy, that'd be bad... But hopefully it'll be either 125k or 150k, I haven't read anything on the numbers....
