^ The "Behind the Scenes" video thumbnail-- that has a cat nose. Does that one character only have a cat nose, or was the trailer just not finalized? Because the shot (I don't know which video it was, I think the BtS one) had the ballet dancer's cat not with a cat nose? If they just add those in post production, my dreams will come true with this film!

In this video, you can hear a snippet of the new song "Beautiful Ghosts" written for the film by Andrew Loyd Webber and Taylor Swift.

Hm. The snippets were beautiful but I don't know if I will like the whole song.

Wow. I really like the song. And the performance. But yeah, that song is really great.

I want to show up to this movie in a faux fur coat and just relish in it all.

God this movie is creepy and ugly! It's uncanny valley crossed with cat costumes. The only thing I liked was I thought James Cordon's "hiss" joke was actually funny.

I see no little black noses were added. I sure was hoping. I find it less creepy this time around; did they change anything since the last trailer, or am I just used to it? I wanted a CATS movie for a long time, so I will probably still see this, and get used to their noses, and love it....

They removed some fur from them, at least it seems that way since a picture of...whoever shook out the catnip has no fur on her hands this time around, and the CGI has improved in general, as in they made it look better and I guess be more realistic with the face movements or something.

The movie is sitting at 17% with 71 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. With no sense of schadenfreude I say I wanted it to be this bad. I cannot wait to see it in theaters.

I was going to post that its reviews were very poor last night, but decided not to because I know there are some who are excited to see it.

Besides that, I was going to say that I was excited to realize that the soundtrack was out. :D I plan to buy JHUD's "Memory" this weekend. :) She performed the song on The Voice finale, but I believe she slowed it down to ensure she wouldn't mess it up at all since they were live. It was beautiful, I just hope the recording is a tad faster.

Supposedly it is quite faithful to the stage show so hopefully longtime fans of the musical will take comfort in that. People have long said “Cats” was impossible to film as a movie and it seems Tom Hooper proved them right. I think most audiences will stay away, but hopefully people who come to the theatre to enjoy the movie ironically and unironically will find a bit of joy this Christmas— even if the source of that joy is a little strange.

I'll be seeing this because I love the musical ever since the second time I saw it, on DVD. I've seen it three times on Broadway, twice since I actually liked it. I have a feeling I will still be to bothered by how it looks, but I am willing to give it a chance to give me a genuine good time.

I bought my tickets for a matinee tomorrow! I’m so excited! I just saw a thread on Twitter where the showing turned into a Rocky Horror type thing which I think is delightful.
