She won't though, and people are going to believe and stick up for, since she's viewed basically as a god... well a " American Treasure ", and Walt is dead, so he can't do a thing, expect maybe as a ghost haunt her house.

I certainly don't believe Walt Disney was a saint. He was most certainly a product of his time and not all of it was for the better back then, but I just don't understand how holding up historical figures, who have been dead for almost half a century, to todays standards of what is or isn't politically correct, is in anyway constructive.

Great links Sotiris! I can use them to explain how Disney wasn't prejudiced to my friend who thinks Disney was an "outspoken anti-semite". The only thing is, some Disney artist (I forget who) said he saw Disney enter some kind of anti-semitic meeting place (I forget what/where) one time. So, that's the only thing that makes me wonder about Walt Disney being anti-semitic.

I always thought Meryl Streep would be a good Lady Tremaine...

The only thing is I don't get how Emma Thompson got an award in a writing and not acting. I thought she was just an actress, and an Oscar winner for that. Can someone fill me in?

And Emma Thompson is actually way prettier than the way he drew her here.

Emma won for writing the screenplay to "Sense and Sensibility" in 1996. She was double nominated for actress as well, but only took the award home for writing that night, however she DID win for Best Actress for Howard's End in 1993, so she has two Oscars, one for writing and one for acting.

While Meryl definitely trumps Emma in nominations, she has actually only won a total of three Oscars (Not that three isn't impressive
