And another thing, when they were about to re-release "Peter Pan" on home video in the late '90s, the preview for it on home videos of the time clearly described it as "Walt Disney's fourteenth animated masterpiece". After doing a little bit of research, I concluded that the package films are considered canon or they likely have revised the number for "Peter Pan"; if one were to just skip directly from "Bambi" to "Cinderella", that would make it the sixth animated feature and "Peter Pan" the eighth. With the package films, however, "Cinderella" is number twelve and "Peter Pan" number 14.

Since, because of length the Package films barely reach a regular movie´s length... Why couldn´t Disney just placed as much of them as they could on the domestic format (VHS/DVD/BD) making them fit on 2?
That way:
-They´d give more for the money.
-People wouldn´t find them as lacking.
-People wouldn´t mind as much adding 2 VHS, DVD, BD to their collection.
-After Bambi, the Package films would be #5 and #6 making Cinderella #7 and so on.

Actually, the package films would be #5, #6 and #7. "Cinderella" would be #8, etc.

I don’t understand the debate.
If a film is an animated feature, theatrically released as entertainment, created by the unit responsible for animated feature theatrical releases, it has a place in the canon. If not, then it doesn’t.

Do you feel that the package films feature strong segments/shorts, the best that Disney has to offer? If you could replace existing package film shorts with other existing Disney shorts that you feel are more "feature worthy," what would you chose?
