Just saw Treasure Planet for the first time and very pleasantly surprised. I expected something more like Atlantis, but was more of a fantasy than that movie. Also, the relationship between Jim and Silver actually IMPROVED on the original story, I think - very touching.

(both today)

The Rescuers-still cute, but it's starting to get a little dull (and I've only seen it three times in six months)

The Return of Jafar(haven't seen this in ten years)-This was the first DTV sequel, and I must say, one of the worst! I can't believe I ever liked this piece of crap! It sucks!
If this can be acknowledged as a true sequel and given an SE, than things like "Belle's Tales of Friendship" and "Hercules: Zero to Hero" definitely should!

If you are ever doubting a DTV sequel, watch Return of Jafar-it can make any movie look good.

This past Friday I watched "101 Dalmatians II", which my brother rented. Yes, it looked cheap, but I must admit it was better than I though it would - but not enough to arrant a buy. Still, I would never have greenlighted it.

Yesterday, I watched "Walt: The Man Behind the Myth" which had just arrived. And today, I watched the bonus features of the double DVD edition of "Tarzan".

I watched The Fox and the Hound Friday night, and will watch The Parent Trap (1961) tonight. Oops! This is a thread for 'what movie did you just watch' not a thread for 'what movie you're going to watch'. Oh well. :P

I just saw Melody Time and I really liked it. It is now one of my all time favorites. I know that many of you have not seen this. I encourage you all to watch it if you have a chance. All the bonus shorts on the DVD are great as well. I give the DVD a A-,B+.

I just watched The Three Caballeros. I had only seen parts of it before from when I was little, so it might as well have been the first time I've seen it. I hate to say it, but I didn't like it very much. I know it was a Walt-era classic, but it was also a WWII-era classic, and those were admittedly weaker. It did pick up a little after all three cabelleros were together, but didn't last very long. The one thing I did really enjoy, however, was the song "We're three cabelleros," that whole number was catchy, funny, and with great animation. It was also a bit interesting to see Donald so horny
