I find I disagree with most of PrincePhillip's opinions, but I'm not going to say it out loud. That would make me look bad.

RTN=was pretty decent but what's up with the octopus what ever happened to the crocodile? would they care to explain?
So you don't like it when things are the same in the sequels, and you don't like it when things are different in the sequels?
For the record I thought the octopus was a bad decision, as with having a dog called Nana II in RTN (I mean, please).
But you know what? The "classics" have had bad decisions too - it was a bad decision to make the living Gargoyles 'real' in Hunchback (in the book they only animate for a few paragraphs of prose and all is in Quasimodo's head). I also think it was a bad decision to have all the characters as animals in Robin Hood (epecially animals like Rhinos which never lived in Britain anyway). It was a bad idea for Atlantis to have most of it's monster encounters cut out (a budget consideration from WDFA) - the list goes on - just because something is animated by Feature Animation doesn't make their ideas any better than those of a sequel. And as Atlantis shows their most ambitious ideas can fall fowl of production costs - even when they have 5-7 times the budget of an average animated sequel.
So Prince Phillip prefers Jungle Book 2 to the orginal. Good for him. Other people may not agree. Heck, I don't agree. But at least is shows he can think for himself.
And one more thing - people like to use Walts "pigs" quote around here. Would any of them care to explain why the famous Walt Disney while reportedly being so anti-sequel
REMADE a Mickey Mouse short "Orphans Benefit"?
Orphans Benefit 1934 and
Orphans Benefit 1941
He also said he wouldn't produce anything for television, but he soon changed his mind for
business reasons when he needed ABC's money to help finance Disneyland. And once he saw how profitable his TV shows could be he increased television production. The point is - nobody
knows what Walt Disney would have done if he still survived today.
at least feature animation thought of those things they didnt use something that they already had to create a story like sequels everything feature animation does is unique and different unlike sequels

so is very irrevelent to compare

I didn't vote because I haven't seen Fantasia since I was, like, 5 or 6, and I have never seen Pinocchio. But after hearing so much about the latter, I am absolutely dying to see it! Sounds like it would be my favourite of the 5. I can't believe how terrifying some people say it is. I cannot wait for the PE!

I picked Snow White - I love that movie!

Bambi is right up there too- I actually might tie those two... Plus, Pinocchio scared the CRAP out of me when I was little (the whole Pleasure Island thing) so despite it's great animation and good (rest) of the storyline, I just couldn't pick it

None of these movies are really very high on my list however sicne I did had to pick Dumbo was my choice. It was actually one of those movies when I was younger that I didnt mind watching over and over again maybe its because it wasnt as dark as the other ones could be.

Pinocchio is on the number one spot for me (it used to be my favourite movie), but I also love Snow White, Dumbo and Fantasia, and Bambi is cute.

Well considering they are all timeless classics- I am gonna have to give my vote to Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs. I love the princess movies most of all! (Besides Lion King which is my all time fav)
But a VERY VERY close second would be Bambi- Thumper was probably my first most favorite character for the longest time, till Oliver came along.. Nowadays (like 15 years later) my favs are: Chip & Dale, Cinderella, Stitch, Kuzco & Tinker Bell.
Remember in the late 80s/ early 90s when McDonalds had the Bambi toys-Bambi, Flower, Thumper & Friend Owl?
I had them all but took Thumper everywhere with me & lost him when I was on a trip in the White Mountains. When I was like 14 my friend had one in a collection she had of old fast food childrens meals toys & I remember I gave her $5 just to have the Thumper toy.... & I still have it-except I obviously dont take it everywhere w/ me anymore-haha.
My sister was the same w/ the musical Dodger that played Jingle Bells I think & it came from McDonalds too. My mom put it on a string & my sis wore it around her neck so she wouldnt lose it- so Mom wouldnt have to go through another "lost Thumper" situation.

I picked Pinocchio....out of the five, it's the one I enjoyed most in my childhood (I haven't seen it in years though....I have to see it again.....I just know I liked it alot.) I'd probabally put Snow White in second, Bambi in third, and Dumbo would go after that....I guess. I don't know though....I'm not really sure because It seems like I only like certain parts of these movies.

(For example...In Bambi, I like the ice skating scene.....) I never saw Fantasia.

Well, I do remember seeing Pinocchio when I was little, and I did like it, but haven't seen it since. Same with Dumbo.
Anyways, I did see them all when I was little and I can judge based on how much I liked them when I was little. Back then, I probably would have chosen Snow White as my favorite of all. I think I only saw Bambi once, and I never came to appreciate it.
Recently, I found my tape of Fantasia and saw it after not having seen it for years. I watched it all, but there were parts that weren't that great - I just wanted to see the parts I remembered that I really liked. Overall, it is visually entertaining, but if I watch it again, I'd probably fast-forward to the Ancient Greece part and watch it from there.
Now, I find it really hard to choose between Snow White and Bambi!!! I love them soo much!!
I really hate how society in general depreciates Snow White. I think some people don't like her because she looks so innocent and isn't that gorgeous as the other princesses. But I really like her because of her innocence and purity!!! And she is pretty, in a simple fashion. She doesn't exactly look like a princess, though; most of the other princesses have big dresses and look more sophisticated. I think her innocent image makes her really cute.
As for her movie, it truly is a wondeful masterpiece!!! I really don't know what to say. The queen is really intimidating, and as that old woman she's just scary and freaky. Her intentions are EXTREMELY vile. Snow White's love for the prince is really romantic and vice versa. She's just so hopeful of a bright future, and he is just so cool, the "One Song" is just pure love. And that ending scene is gorgeous!!! Snow White's stay with the dwarfs is so fun, too; I really loved the Silly Song scene. And Snow White was just adorable when baking a pie for Grumpy!!! Aww!!
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a pure and adorable masterpiece!!!
As for Bambi (this will be short), I got really touched by the innocence of the characters and the story. The story is so beautiful for being about life. And the characters are also extremely cute!!!
