They were. I'm guessing this is just a standalone digital release for folks that didn't want to buy the Legacy Collection, since the first two discs in that set was the 2004 soundtrack release.
Back in 2013, Disney released four digital albums under "The Lost Chords" banner (Cinderella, Peter Pan, The Aristocats, & The Rescuers), but name "Lost Chords" has since been used in the Legacy Collection for the re-recorded song demos on various albums. So far, only Cinderella and The Aristocats have seen their Lost Chords album released via Legacy Collection, while the Legacy Collection releases of Pinocchio, Lady and the Tramp, and Sleeping Beauty have also included Lost Chords recordings that weren't released previously.
Given the recent release of Robin Hood and the upcoming release of Beauty and the Beast, the Legacy Collection seems to be on a title-by-title basis now rather than a wave of films. So hopefully we'll see Peter Pan and The Rescuers follow soon since their digital Lost Chords albums could certainly use a physical media release (plus, I don't think The Rescuers ever had a complete soundtrack release!), and we could certainly use more Legacy Collection releases.
I'd love a Hunchback of Notre Dame: Legacy Collection release with the deleted songs as sung by the original voice actors. "Someday" is available on the Laserdisc sung by Heidi Mollenhauer, but the other two ("As Long as There's A Moon" & "In a Place of Miracles") are still the demo versions with Menken. It's silly having Kevin Kline in a musical but not letting him sing, so at least let him record "In a Place of Miracles" for a Legacy Collection release!
Other contenders for Legacy Collection releases that could benefit from new Lost Chord recordings could also be Bambi ("Rain Song" & "Twitterpated"), Alice in Wonderland (literally, dozens of songs...), One Hundred and One Dalmatians (a great deal are already on DVD/Blu-Ray, but new recordings would be more palatable to listen to than demos), The Sword in the Stone ("To the Blue Oak Tree" & "The Magic Key", and it's never had a full soundtrack release), The Jungle Book (its 7 deleted songs from the DVD were not on the Blu-Ray, so a Legacy Collection release could rectify that), and Aladdin (imagine all those Ashman-Menken songs as sung by Brad Kane, Lea Salonga, Jonathan Freeman, etc. I need a Brad Kane version of "Proud of Your Boy" dammit!)
