I like this muy much. Of all of the announced/rumored/hinted at upcoming films from Disney or Pixar this is the one I've been looking forward to most!
Edit: I said the same thing above

If that's true, that makes me super happy. I figured it was no more especially with "The Book of Life" coming out.

Looks like the movie is shelved or getting a new title:

I don't think it's shelved. Lee Unkrich has been attached to it since it was announced, so I'm betting it's the "Untitled Lee Unkrich film."

Pixar president Jim Morris
confirmed during his press tour to Mexico that the Day of the Dead film is still in development with Lee Unkrich attached to direct and will get a new title.

Very good! Book of Life was great, but I'm sure this will be better! What's the title: Bones?

This is going to be Pixar's first musical!

Well, they their first fairy tale three years ago, so they'll ought to have a musical, haha. Either way, I don't see anything wrong with Pixar having a musical.

A Pixar musical.... Mess. I suppose to wants to have the best-selling musical of all time on Pixar's shelf or something.

SERIOUSLY
The long-gestating film based on the Day of the Dead will be called #Coco, from the team behind #ToyStory3

I'm assuming it's a Latin take on the Katharine Hepburn Chanel musical of the same name.

Not complaining about this news (especially that it's going to be a musical).

They didn't give a lot of info about this one. Showed a pic of the protagonist, a boy named Miguel. Then they showed a diorama which wouldn't necessarily be the final designs. But it was a sample clip of how the characters would move. Hard to get a sense from that but I liked what I saw. Great energy and use of color.

FAR more excited for this than the long list of Pixar sequels.
