Having 10 grand kids between the ages of 14 and 6, I don't they have ever watched "Spongebob". I tried to watch it once and the animation was horrid, and the characters are actually pretty silly. Rented the first movie and never watched it because I couldn't get any of the grandkids to sit down for an hour and a half. One of my grandkids refers to the show at "Spongebob Gay-Pants"!!! She says that it is to silly to invest any time in.

Actually, SpongeBob is one of the very few cartoons on TV today with fluid animation quality and an appealing drawing style, while a lot of other cartoons tend to be cheap looking Flash stuff.

Remember what I said about using that Spongebob sequel as punishment for Disney for not doing a hand drawn animated feature? I take that back.

It actually looks appealing, and the original show's creator came back for this.
