Gosh, I can't understand how inconsistent Disney is....Alice? really? I get the others in the poster series (Hercules, etc.) But ALICE? No wonder this never took offImage

The only thing I don't like about the suggestions is the idea that someone has to be 'well known' to be included. Honestly, Hercules...isn't that well known. But that shouldn't matter, because he is heroic. I mean, Snow White's Prince and Prince Charming are about as heroic as dust mites in a mattress. Why *couldn't* Disney include 'lesser known' characters like Hercules and Robin Hood and Quasimodo and Basil of Baker Street in this line-up? When I was younger, I certainly would have preferred playing as them over any of those namby-pamby princes.

Plus, introducing someone like Quasi to the hero line would diversify it up...it would be Disney's way of saying, hey, people with disabilities can STILL be heroes. And I think that's a great message. It also tells you you don't HAVE to be dashing or handsome. And I think most people would recognize Quasi better than Snow White's prince or even Cinderella's...he is after all, a bit more...memorable in appearance.

As for Basil, he'd be great to include in a less-actiony more puzzle-oriented type of game. Think about it: him using his keen detective skills to solve puzzles, find clues, follow leads. It'd be better than fighting dragons all day. And would provide an outlet for more 'nerdy' type little boys and girls.

What I don´t get is how a company as important as Disney...DISNEY...that has these well established, beloved characters can´t keep consistency.

I mean, you can give these movies to ANYONE that could say: "These are heroes, these are princesses and these are villains. Let´s put them on merchandise".

I remember I bought the Hecules one when I was younger. I really wish they had kept pushing those.

There was also a line of action figures called "Disney Adventurers":

I found this interesting. It's a shame Disney doesn't have any drive or enthusiasm to make a go of this franchise. They could have great attractions at Disney Parks :P

They need more corperate geniuses at Disney who actually can see a good merchandise opportunity where it is.I mean for all the bad talk of Disney being an evil corperation the real thing is that they need to use those powers for something smart that the Disney fans will like and will make a lot of money.

Hey,whose says you can't make a lot a money while being truly understanding about the magic of Disney.I still think there are possibly tons of franchises Disney could start if they were just smart about it.I think Disney Princes/Heroes would be a great male counterpart to the Disney Princess franchise.
