Yeah you're a Reagen lover. Just like the same logic that homophobic are closet homos LOL.

I just realize that this thread is exact same thread as one I made so i'll just repost in quote the one how I view certain members.

Super Aurora wrote:I'm sure we all at one point in past or even now make wild guesses and interpretation how you envision your fellow UD members through their personalities, way of saying things, and so forth. This is something fun for us to do, kinda like that "What UD members wouldn't say" deal.
By no means is this made or intended to offend anyone.

I still use it! Do you mean to imply that I am calling you by an old, tired and by-all-definitions expired nickname?

Whoa!

Talk about a build-up. I sound just like Woody Woodpecker in his debut short "Knock Knock" in which he threatens to tear Andy Panda limb from limb.
Scaps wrote:In my past life, I was a WWI medic who once managed to amputate a soldier's leg whilst we were being bombarded by the Germans.
My holy ants! Thou believeth in reincarnation! I'll say here and now that so far this year I've been a sinner so should I die, I expect to take the demeaning form of an Amoeba or some other form of single-celled organism.
Goliath wrote:We were discussing Home on the Range, apparently a favorite of her, and I totally trashed the movie.
I must admit I'm quite fond of Home on the Range. However, I imagine if you were to express your dislike of the film to its directors (Will Finn and John Sanford), they would likely agree. Based on their comments online, both men have led me to believe that Home on the Range was for them a compromised and painful experience.
Goliath wrote:Lazario: I have a love-hate relationship with him. We've had some internet battles (which, of course ...
I like Lazario, but I still feel rather rattled from the time he expressed deep dislike for something I wrote, namely some of my criticisms for The Silence of the Lambs. Amongst others I complained about Jodie Foster's unintelligible mumbling throughout the film, telling her to "speak up, woman!". Of the barrage of colourful adjectives Lazario used to describe my post I remember various iterations of the word "nauseating". It was not a pretty post.
Goliath wrote:You know, not that I mind *at all*... but, reading through your posts and SHJ's (and Albert's), I must say I can definitly see where Julian got this idea of a "clique".
It's funny you mention Albert. I never really included him in the clique (in my mind). I imagined him more as a priviliged guest who could engage in conversation with the Flangy/Brenders/Plinky trio whenever he wanted.

By the way ... what's happened to Widdi? I remember him exchanging funny one-liners with SpringHeelJack regularly a couple of years ago ...
Scarred4Life wrote:I definitely agree with the general consensus of Super Aurora being a complete badass
I now realise that I don't know the precise meaning of "badass". *goes look it up*

In any case, I imagine SuperAurora as being very, very macho.

I think it's only natural that some members get along with others better or favor others based on shared opinions. I don't think he meant it in a bad way either, it's just I never thought of it in the way of a clique as the word to me has negative connotations (like a stereotypical high school clique that shuns out other non-members).

Perhaps "clique" was the wrong word to use. I certainly can understand the negative connotations now that you've pointed them out.

Still I don't know with what word to substitute for "clique". Gang? No. Group? That's pretty vague. Gah. I dunno.

Could you post some links where they talk about their movie, please? I'd love to read what they have to say.

You know, that's probably why you slipped my mind when I made my previous post. I don't know you that well, but I've always liked your posts and, if memory serves me well, we agreed more often than not. ;)
Scarred4Life wrote:And I too, find Goliath slightly intimidating, I've always pictured him as the tall, dark stranger of a sort. But then again, I find the people who write those huge posts/essays intimidating, because that is something that's hard for me to do.
Awwww... everybody's afraid of me. :( Now it's for writing long posts. Man, Disney Duster must scare the crap out of you. :D

Some other members that I forgot to name, but who shouldn't go unmentioned:

pap64: His posts are always funny, but never in a negative manner; he never uses sarcasm or takes shots at other people/opinions to be funny. I remember him making a thread trying to improve postings on UD. It's obvious he's very involved in the UD community.

ajmrowland: I still don't always know how to take him. Sometimes he seems very relaxed and laid-back, then all of a sudden he can be very argumentative. (Is he my long-lost twin brother?) Most of the time, though, he's a nice guy to have around here.

Then, we shouldn't forget to mention people who may not be so prolific or outspoken, but who do contribute to UD and help shape this place, like Pixarfan, Sky Syndrome and disneyboy. :)

Oh wow, just as I was about to ask why I wasn't mentioned ANYWHERE, I read this.

I'm surprised people still remember me. I mean, I've been away from the forums for a while now. Not only did I wanted a break from the fabulous drama (tee hee :p ), I've been VERY busy with my thesis and my other written work.

Also, I object to the title of this topic. See, this kitten is sad about it...

Haha, I'm not afraid of you, I actually admire you for your bluntness and wonderful debating ability. Maybe intimidated was the wrong word. Daunted maybe? No... that's not quite right. I think you're just a bit intense. But I quite enjoy reading your posts, and like you said, I usually agree with you.

I'm afraid all the stuff I read was mainly in the from of (short) comments on certain blog sites.

I only found this one. Cartoon Brew once featured a John Kricfalusi quote in one of its articles, in which he said:
John Kricfalusi wrote:Modern animated movies are the products not of anyone’s individual vision, but rather a scattered accumulation of compromises made out of fear by members of large committees.
And to this, John Sanford replied:
John Sanford wrote:I care what John says. He has a lot of good things to say.
Besides, his quote decribes the making of “Home on the Range” to a T.
And I should know.
Link: http://www.cartoonbrew.com/ideas-commen ... tures.html

It isn't much, but it gives us an inkling of how he feels about the film.

John K. is an egotistic jerk sometimes and only goes for stuff that are nostalgic rather than actual content.

No wonder I kept looking and looking for the thread on 'Disney Discussion'... you secretly moved it! :P

So I "awed" you, did I? Did I "shock" you too? ;)

Too bad the thread has been moved to here. Far less regulars will see it here, I think.

I thought you were going to add Duster to the picture, Super A.?

wheew! Just got back from NYC now. Had fun. Went to comic convention for Indies comic. Met one artist who was really helpful in how draw wimmins and how create weight and balance when give her a pose. Helpful guy.

Then I went to comic store near empire state building. brought load of old 90's X-men comic. Mainly so I can use the Jim Lee Jean Grey design for inspire reference for one of my character's hair design.

I also was at a outside bargain sale place in NYC and brought a beautiful authentic African mask.

lol

Goliath, I was going to add duster to that pic but there's no room put him. when ever i'm not lazy or busy drawing maybe I'll do it.

My God, I can't believe I'm bumping this old thing. At least it will remind Brendan that he does have a fan club. Well ... sort of.

I just skimmed through the thread. Goliath participated quite a bit, I miss his input.

I also really regret doing that old divorce thread about 2 years ago. That stupid stupid thread. It made me look medieval. Not sure what to think about it anymore. Despite the negative attention that thread brought me, I feel tempted to start another one about gay marriages, because I sincerely don't know what to think of them (i.e. should I side with the Church or with myself, seeing as I'm gay?)
