Wow. I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, especially since we'd exchanged pleasantries in a few posts and that I even went out of my way to be helpful in the desktop thread. Perhaps you've been taking some of the discussions here far too seriously and have gotten needlessly overly-defensive.
BellesPrince wrote:Instead, they feel the need to interfere, complain and whine, and pull the thread off topic. The behaviour, quite honestly, is rude and trollish.
Which is exactly what you're doing.
To get back on topic, I do think most people were honestly having a little fun in this thread, while the rest are just perplexed by jackoleen's overall posts.
Pretty much this.
Belleprince, We don't troll, and we don't think we're better than anyone else, so I don't see why you even create an assumption like that. The people you listed probably seems to you as such mainly cause we are very vocal people. We voice what we think no matter what. And stand by what we stay. Most people on this forum already know how we address things and are used to it. They also know that despite our more vocal and "forced" personality, they also know we are good-heart people. And we are.
That doesn't mean we think we're better than others or you.
I think the problem is that you're taking all things we say, too personally or that you're being too sensitive over it.
Also in some of the other threads you also made some comment that seems you want to antagonize with certain members(that implied goliath one comes to mind), and yet you wonder why people here are acting all "mean".
You also say we complain about Disney therefore why should we be here. We the point of this forum is to discuss what we like and don't like about Disney in the forum. That's purpose of a forum to begin with. You seem to think that because we like Disney, we must like everything about Disney. And that's clearly isn't the case with some of us because there are some things we do like and some things we don't like.
So why did I make a not so serious post against Jackie? As Enigmawing said, due to the previous threads and posts Jackie made, it seems she like to reveal rather unusual and odd taste of hers for no apparent reason. So most of us are rather perplex by her ...."style" if you may. We weren't angry or grumpy. The thread, to us, didn't seems to come across as intentionally a fun thread to us to contribute, but just a thread for an excuse to reveal more of her fetishes.
Hell, Wonderlicious made a parody thread on it.
So to sum it up, I think you need to take things easy a bit. Sure I may sound like an a-hole sometimes but I don't say it to be mean or hateful.

I like the following girls:
Sonny Monroe
Mitchie Torres
Princess Rosalinda
They all have something in common I think. I don't know what, though.

Wow!

Dear Disney Enthusiasts,
Wow! I'm sorry about the trouble that has occurred for you, BellesPrince. I hope that you won't leave these boards for good.
I should clarify my messages by saying that they're not really meant to be lampooning anything at all, but I should also say that we should be able to respect one another's opinions without getting upset about them, even when people are being serious.
I know that you think that I'm posting messages "for no apparent reason," Super Aurora. Okay, then. What was the "apparent reason" behind such threads as the "Who Would You Date?" thread, and so forth? I did actually pose a question when I composed the message that I wrote.
If I was guilty of anything, I was guilty of not searching for a similar topic to which I could add my thoughts.
I guess that I just believe that when most of us are not 5-year-olds, we shouldn't be so offended by non-vulgar adult language or topics. I don't think that I have used any vulgar language here, and I know that I haven't posted any pornographic images. I'd never do that, anyway. Have I ever been known to say anything like "Mickey Mouse makes me [imagine, or don't, any explicit description of a reaction here]"? No way.
I actually have my own limits, too, because I really dislike the results that appear on page one of many innocent Disney-related Google image searches. So, you see, I am not without my morals.
I won't object to deleting any words, or any topics, that the Mods deem to be objectionable.
Thank you in advance for your replies.

All three are generally underwhelming characters played by a generally underwhelming actor.
And
BellesPrince, I'm sorry to see you go. The forum was not, should not be, and will not always be how you perceived it in the past month. Perhaps one day in the future you'll find yourself here again and it will be a better experience for you.

As my signature and (one day when I have it) avatar should attest, I love Rapunzel, and have her as my desktop wallpaper and the wallpaper for my PS3!
I just adore everything about her, from her looks to her voice (yes, I like Mandy's voice for her). She's just the best thing since Ariel, who once occupied the top spot for best before Rapunzel came along!
And just to add my two cents on the off-topic part - I had been reading the entire five parts of the Tangled threads, and had seen many comments by
others here, and never did I get turned off by what I saw. Sure, there were times when I was shocked by treatments, but I was able to see the change
that came over the threads over time, and everything seemed to resolve itself as time went by. So, that's all we need if things are seeming to go a
bit pear-shaped during our time on the Internet - take a breather and go and do something else and come back when you're ready to cope with
the various moods of others and their ways of etiquette. It's helped me countless times, and surely it should help you too.
Anyway, let's shake hands and get along, even if it's just for Rapunzel's birthday, okay?

@ David Mcnab: That's actually a very healthy attitude toward internet forums in general. Welcome to the forum!
I suggest a moderator removes all the off-topic bickering. (Yes, this coming from me; ironic, isn't it?) For a moment I was worried that this time, *I* was the only person who had made a serious, on-topic post ina derailed thread. I thought I may have been Topsy Turvey Day. But then I saw some posts by Kyle and Avaitor and I was relieved.
Yeah, I think I'll ditch Eilonwy from my list; she's too young anyway. (Well, most heroines are, but she and Snow are the only ones who also
look too young. I always thought Aurora was meant to be at least 18 and I was surprised when I learned she's only 16 years old.)

Oh goodness I might be too late...I don't have much time to say this, but...
BellesPrince, I never meant to make you feel bad. I do think you have taken things me and others have said to you in bad ways. Wouldn't you be so happy if you realized we didn't not like you, and we were just trying to help? But if you must go (please don't, but), I want to know, what was that "Sleeping Beauty" show with the book you told me about before?

OK, I hadn't intended to post again so I'll make this short.
First of all it would be all too convenient to delete the off topic posts here and save people any embarrassment wouldn't it!
Second, I didn't do anything to antagonism anyone - when I was faced with an antagonistic poster I simply suggested that we avoid each other, but that apparently was not good enough.
Third, if people stopped and thought about how they post, perhaps they wouldn't come across as mean. Being vocal and opinionated does not make you right and does not give you the right to bully people nor be rude and intimidating.
And finally, if people took a step back and didn't try to moderate when they have no right to do so...
And if people would just be a little bit more welcoming to new members.
I certainly intend to step.back from the board in the immediate future, whether I return remains to be seen.

Disney's Divinity wrote:I'm surprised most guys don't like Vanessa from TLM. She has Ariel's looks, and Ursula's personality. You just know she has experience.

I love Vanessa! I am also surprised more guys haven't mentioned her. Maybe it is because she has such a short appearance in the movie? I always wished they had saved her design for a princess or ingénue of some sort.

While I don't love Mandy's voice at all, I otherwise agree with you 100% I haven't liked a Disney character as much as her since Ariel...and maybe Jane from the TV series.
My crush is
Batman, animated or live action, but Bruce is not Disney...so hmmmm. Who do I like?
Flynn/Eugene is pretty lovable.
Goliath is pretty good too.

Totally not strange! I was just having a conversation about that the other night with one of my friends . . . she and I both kinda have a thing for Clopin as well.
