I'm surprised you didn't mention Wiggins in there. I think they subtly showed that he might have a thing for Ratcliffe (and there has to be some reason David Ogden Stiers did both their voices).

Sometimes stereotypes are true, sometimes they're far from it. They can be inconsistent like that. That's why I try to ignore them.

Smee and Rabbit? Really? The only ones I heard of were the Reluctant Dragon and Wiggins (oh, and Cupid from that Who Killed Cock Robin? Silly Symphony....)

Oh lord, I didn't even read that part of the original post, to be honest. Now that is messed up. Why do people think that gay people have any less morals, values, or family orientated than straight people?

I'm a pretty straight guy and LOVE Disney. I think you need to pump some (mostly non-princess) films into him pronto!

I've been called childish a couple of times since I started seriously getting into Disney, but gay.....that's a new one on me. Just sounds really daft to me!

I´m a heterosexual male and like disney (not like i used to, but hey). I´m much more into Frank Zappa now.

I'm gay and I love Disney, but there is no connection between the two. My interests, favorites and taste in film, TV-series, music, literature etc is not influenced by the fact that I am a man who likes men.

People that use gay as a negative word or believe that they are better than people that happens to be gay are stupid people. Enough said.

I don't care much about the Princesses, in terms of who they are and what they wear. I think most of us know the first 3 major characters weren't the most interesting thing about their respective movies (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora). When I watch any of Disney's classic animated features, I usually watch for the art quality and hope the storytelling won't be too bland. That we'll get good jokes or humor, beautiful and well crafted music, likable or fun characters. Or a great sense of danger. I got that feeling as much from the 2nd half of Fun and Fancy Free, and of course the Ichabod half of Ichabod & Mr. Toad, than I did from the early epics with perhaps higher stakes; Snow White, Pinocchio, and Bambi.

I never really answered to this, but when people charge that Disney is gay for adults... I think I have an idea what they're saying. Most likely it's that they feel Disney isn't very adult. Too family-friendly. Too safe. Too simple-minded. But then I just remember art quality and then, I can't agree with that mindset. I mean- there are very few adult, non-family oriented, films that are really based on fairy tales. Simple-minded? Maybe to an extent. But not "gay" as in: not worth a person's time unless they're a child.

GOD- I lived and died for "Fantasy" back in '95. I was psycho for that song. Never bought the CD but I wasn't a CD buyer back then. Had to wait 'til '97 and by then, I was stuck in trends. And wasn't paying much attention to the new Mariah Carey songs (of that time, which were everything on... Butterfly? That's the album's name, I think) Just "Honey" and "My All," though I saw all the videos on Mtv... except "The Roof," missed that one.
