Why not? Most releases have colour timing adjustments made ready for HD debuts. CAPS does not mean perfect. Would you rather Disney just used the old (DVD) video master, bump up the bit-rate and put that out on BLU?

I'm really looking forward to this release...whenever it is!

Most times it'll look better, they're giving it more spark which is great to look at on HD but as long as it stays true to the original look of the film. Changing the look completely like they did with ***&*** is just WRONG WRONG WRONG. But I'm sure this one's gonna turn out great.

They have to make a copy of the movie that matches the original master or intent for any format.

When I hear CAPs and color timing in the same sentence I usually think beauty and the beast. Just upping the bit rate and resolution sounds great to me. And I never suggested just using the dvd output as a master.

^Actually, that's exactly where I got my knowledge of how transfers are done. They usually *need* to be color-timed.
