I have allready pre-ordered Snow White on Blu-ray at Amazon. I pre-ordered both the Limited Edition Collector's Set and the Collector's Book Set.

Since my Disney store has a Lithograph if you pre-order Snow White on Blu-ray, I went to the Disney store to order another copy of Snow White on Blu-ray. It was $24.99 (or something like that) and it got the Lithograph and a coupon that I can use on October 6th. With this coupon I either get $10 off if I spend less than $40 or I get $20 off if I spend more than $40. If you spend $100 you get all of this plus a limited edition doll (so in a way that doll is like $75). My Disney store has a picture of the Blu-ray that I pre-ordered and the picture is of the 2 Disc Blu-ray and 1 Disc Dvd that is in the Dvd packaging.

Thanks for the info, Flower's Friend. Do they have a photo of the doll when you preorder?

I can only find 14 out of the 15 diamonds on the website. Does anyone know where the last one is - I'm guessing somewhere not as obvious as the rest? Help!

Snow White is a very good film, if a bit kitschy in places (but then, I suppose less than The Wizard of Oz). I make sure that I watch the film in a room with no glass about due to Snow White's constant high notes, but the animation is lovely (the art direction and cinematography even more so), and all around, it's a charming film. :D

I won't double-dip with the DVD release. Unfortunately, I have no Blu-Ray player, but I might buy the Blu-Ray for when I do. I might rent the DVD to watch the new bonus features. Hu noz... :p

To be honest I'm very happy with the Disney Blu Rays released thus far Sleeping Beauty was SUCH an excellent first choice, Pinnochio while looking spectacular for a 70 year old film didn't have the umph that Sleeping Beauty did.

I wonder will they give Snow White a 7.1 surround sound track too...the lighting/thunder would be nice to hear in surround as well as the part with her running in the forest I see the can mix nice.

I can't remember this film all too well to be honest I THINK I have the 2001 DVD I'm not too sure, but I always fall victim to new releases and please 20.00 for a nice family nice is something I think I can part with ;).

According to the website, they have given it a 7.1 mix.

Funny, I always thought the opposite was true. As much as I love Snow White, I've always marveled at how much more sophisticated and layered Oz is despite a mere two year window. The dialogue in Snow White (especially for Snow herself) is more cloying (though I'll admit Glinda gets on my nerves sometimes), and it handles its emotions more broadly (okay, it's an animated feature made by people who were only experienced in short subjects, but still). Plus, I just feel the humor works better in Oz than in Snow White; it feels cleverer and doesn't concern itself too much with sight gags.

If you visit your local Disney Store, they will have the actual doll on display for you to see. It is a limited edition of 5000 worldwide. It's absolutely gorgeous, 17" tall, hand beaded, comes in a beautiful white box and has a certificate of authenticity. Each Disney Store has a strict number of dolls they are allowed to sell, mine being 24. Once we reach 24, we are done preselling the doll. Each store has a goal between 20 and 30. If you are a serious collector and would like one of these dolls, I would preorder it asap. We sold 11 of them on the first day of the presale (Monday).

The presale is $99.50 and comes with the Blu Ray/DVD combo, the 11x14" lithograph of the original 1937 movie poster, and a choice of two coupons.

Thanks for the info, but it looks like it is no longer an in-store exclusive. disneystore.com has it now.

Hmm, it doesn't say anything about the lithograph, so I'm assuming that's exclusive to the stores. At least those who live no where near a Disney Store can still get the doll.

Looks great, but I for one will happily wait for the DVD. I'll be damned if I'm gonna convert my movies again. No way, no how.

I doubt I care enough to buy this again, regardless of Blu-ray. It's never been one of my favorite movies, and I'm pretty okay with the 2001 DVD by this point.

As I understand it, the lithograph is exclusive to physical Disney Stores and come with any preorder of Snow White, not just with the doll. The coupon is also an in-store exclusive. But the advantage of ordering online is that you get the doll early. It ships in 4 weeks, but the Blu-Ray won't ship until October 6th. The doll is nice, but I'm not a doll collector. I think it's neat that Disney is doing something different though.

Yes you can get the litho without having to buy the doll.

This is just the first in a new line of limited edition dolls, next being Tiana in the spring.

Was there a press release or is that just speculation? As far as I've heard, that was something that Amazon90 hopes happens, but hasn't been announced by Disney Store.

Very cool. Can anybody scan and post the flyer? I'm curious if it actually advertises Tiana as the next one. If so, it would put to rest all of the rumors that Aladdin is coming to Blu-Ray soon.

I'm a Disney Store cast member.

As Amazon980 states, it does advertise Tiana as the next doll inside the preorder sleeve you get when you preorder the Snow White doll. But we had already found out way before we got the sleeves. My guess is that Belle will be after Tiana, for the release of BatB.

My store has SOLD OUT of dolls in just three days!

When you click on Video Clips on the new Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs website , it comes up with the Trailer , and says more clips will be coming soon!!

I look forward to seeing more clips , there are already three clips on Amazon.com , so I hope Disney chooses three different clips for the website!!

In answer to another poster , yes , I do think the voice of the Slave in the Magic Mirror is a bit "off" , but the animation of it is terrific , what an improvement upon the animation for the 2001 Platinum Edition !!
