Tarzan CE in 2000 - because I had a hard time finding it on laserdisc.
And PLEASE note: "Dalmatians" is NOT spelt with an "o".

Probably because it wasn't released on LD.

My first Disney DVD was Lilo & Stitch. It was a few months after my birthday (when I had gotten a DVD player), for Christmas. And I asked for it because it's my favorite film.

Well, not quite so. It was released on LD in Japan. I've got quite a few Japanese Disney LDs but I ended up not getting this as is was both hard to find and expensive.
I may buy it for my collection some day if it's convenient, though. I also hope I'll get Make Mine Music and Melody Time on LD at a more reasonable price some day.

Hmm, that is interesting. Do you know if the Japanese editions of Mulan and Hercules had extras? As far as I know, Hercules had little to no extras and Mulan was not even released on LD in the States. And Japan had a deluxe of "Aladdin", while the U.S. didn't.

well, Disney movies have always been in my family, all of them till Aladdin; then I was in charge for buying the next ones, so I bought all disney classics on VHS from Lion King to Emperor's new groove.
So my first Disney DVD was Atlantis, now I'm dedicated to update all my family Disney VHS collection to DVD, and I now I got almost all of the classics on DVD...and so damn crazy to own Aladdin and Cinderella now!!

My first Disney DVD was Disney Pixar DVD Three-Pack (Toy Story/A Bug's Life/Toy Story 2) I got it on Christmas 2001.
I was so happy with the gift.
I watch it again and again.
That's how I became a Disney DVD collector.

My first was Sleeping Beauty ...
Then I had to backtrack and get the previous Platinum and Collector's Editions ... and that did not come cheaply!
Nevertheless, very happy ... and very poor

My first DVD was the Snow White Platinum DVD. Up until then I was not planning on getting any because I had most of them on VHS. But the extras on Snow White were too good to pass up!
Now I am getting all of the Disney DVDs that I can when their "best" versions come out. I hope to eventually get all of them.

The Japanese Hercules LD has a "making of..." documentary and a "music clip".
I don't have the Japanese Mulan LD, but as far as I know it was in Japanese only (no English sound). I know nothing about extras here. Curiously, I've got a French PAL LD of Mulan...

Well, so the Hercules LD has the same extras that are on the current DVD and VHS. Thanks for the info!

By the way, there has been some talk on this forum about a 2-disc Mulan in Japan... I still couldn't find anything about it! Does anybody have any info?!!

The first DISNEY DVD I have ever owned was "Lion King Sing along songs". LOL hey don't get me wrong, an avid collector must have an avid collection am I wrong? I love the lion king and have to have anything and everything related to it!

My next DISNEY DVD was "The Lion King Special Edition" followed by my second fav. movie "Pirates of the Carribean" So......my third Disney DVD movie will be "The Lion King 1 1/2" and my fourth will be "The Lion King: Simbas pride on Special Edition" If I do not get a different one sooner.

Heh, totally different than the rest of you, as usual.

My first dvd ever, as well as my first Disney dvd was Emperor's New Groove, the 2 disk limited version.
The day after buying our player, I was browsing the local video shop when I saw they had it priced around $20 canadian (that's *very* low). I immediately recognised it was mispriced, and that should have been the regular version for that price. They looked at it funny when I brought it up to the counter, but they honoured the price. Next day, I saw the price had been corrected.

My very first Disney DVD was Pirates of the Caribbean, because I asked for it for Christmas on VHS. Then I got a DVD player.
The first I bought was Beauty and the Beast. It was $26 at Chapters, but very much worth it (it's my favourite film).
Now, I treasure these two DVD's as I treasure my first two VHS-Pinocchio and Aladdin.
In the next while I'm getting (most likely):
Sleeping Beauty
Alice in Wonderland
Mulan II
Mickey's Three Musketeers

Well the first disney dvd to come into my home, though not
my first, was
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. My mom bought it, and chose
The Little Mermaid as her free one.
A year later I was in Wal-mart with a little cash to burn and I saw
Beauty and the Beast on the shelf, and I really wasn't planning on buying it, as I was so sick of the commericals they were running for it, but then I saw that it was only $15.78 or something, so I thought, "What the Hell?" Maybe I could use it to get money out of my mom, if she wanted it bad enough maybe she'd pay me for it or something.... When I got home she automattically thought I'd gotten it for her, and I suddenly became very possessive of it and let her know it was
mine, which may seem kinda mean or whatever but I had just bought her several dvd's including the Fellowship of the Ring, which cost me a pretty penny, where I bought it, and she never buys me dvd's, I always have to buy my own...
Anyway, I had no intention of watching the movie, but I started to go through the extras and as I did, I got so excited and into the film, that I had to pop in disc 1 and watch the film! I am now very happy I bought it!

Mine was Snow White. I got it for Christmas (2001 of course) about a month after getting my DVD player.
