I Actually like the Shrek movies but I never wanted to see Kung Fu Panda because I thought it would be stupid and annoying. Now that I hear so many good things about it I will DEFINITELY check it out...THANKS GUYS!

I don't know about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. But, according to
this article from Video Business magazine, catalog titles(read: all titles streeting [releasing] prior to 2010) will remain with Paramount, such as the expected May 12th release of a "Deluxe Edition" of
Galaxy Quest.

According to a USAToday article, Steven Spielberg is developing a Pirate film based on perhaps the last novel Michael Crichton did before his death entitled, "Pirate Latitudes." David Koepp is writing the adaption and Spielberg is producing with the possibility of directing it. The plot essentially is a "men on a mission" story wrapped in a pirate narrative about a group that tries to get into Port Royal and steal a Spanish galleon's treasure.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was under both Touchstone & Amblin? Oh, and
for Hugh Jackman (I haven't seen much with him in it, but he was great (and hot!) in
Australia!).

I wonder if Disney doesn't mind to distribute horror films Dreamworks produces. Touchstone hasn't really had any horror movies, except Dark Water - which wasn't all too scary and horror-ish to begin with. Considering that The Ring 3 is already coming out in 2011. I guess since it's Touchstone it really doesn't matter much - though they might as well spread the Dreamworks movies over Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures.

Well that's a relief.
It would have been such a sick irony if Disney really did become the distributor for the very animation studio that turned them away from hand-drawn animation in the first place. DreamWorks should be considered their enemy for that, not their friend.

On the one hand, I guess it's good that Disney doesn't own everything--yet. On the other, maybe it would be better for those movies (as far as re-releases go) to be owned by Disney in the long run since Dreamworks might not be around 10-15 years from now?

Okay, well I suppose the "enemy/friend" part kind of was.
But seriously, I can't see Disney owning a franchise like
Shrek when all it ever did was spoof them constantly.
