No widescreen films existed at the time Alice was released.
Concerning the colors, (that nobody besides me seems to care about...

) I noticed that the dvd menus have clips of the unrestored print, including the scene with the door. The door is brown in the menu, so I guess the PAL-system had nothing to do with the wrong colors.

Hello people...
I finally got my "Alice" DVD this past Saturday, and I must adimit it was even better than I though. The movie looks and sounds GREAT, and the bonuses... ah, the bonuses... Yeah, not the ultimate edition of "Alice", but damn close.
Well, I think nobody noticed it, because nobody commented... But pay atention to the "Clock Cleaners" short in "One Hour In Wonderland". It contains Donald's original line... you know, the "F*** you" (or whatever) thing.
Just to let you know...

I was watching a bit of the Fred Waring show on the disc before I turned it off because of boredom. But I saw what Sterling Holloway finally looks like and I swear he looks like Ryan Stiles from Whose Line Is It Anyway?

There is this great site with lots of screen caps comparing the Gold Collection edition of "Alice" to the Masterpiece Edition. It's almost like night and day!

I still can't beleive how great this movie looks and sounds... Oh, I just loved this DVD!!!

Good catch!
Howwever,
I beleive what Donald is attempting to say is "Says Who!" It does however sound like f*** you.
Treasures complete and unedited my left foot.
