Don't know if this helps or hurts a possible special edition in the near future, but I stopped by the local Future Shop yesterday, and they had a bunch of copies of Hercules that seem to be part of a reissue of the title. Still is the same edition, but the cover's been changed a bit, namely the "Gold Classic Collection" banner is no longer shiny, and in the corner (where the THX logo was previously) it now has the Disney Movie Rewards logo. I picked it up, since the price seems to also have been cut in half, but I'm now wondering- did the previous release have an insert cause it only comes with the Reward points card.

They did something like this for Pocahontas II - and they did it that time for the 'Disney Magical Places' promotion.

It would be nice if we got a re-release of the black cauldron and Hercules this year. There's certainly a long enough time span between March and October to fit them in..

We're already getting
Mary Poppins
Oliver & Company
Pinocchio
Lilo and Stitch
The Black Cauldron
and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this year.
I would imagine that these might be the only releases for this year. Hopefully Hercules and or Hunchback will be on the slate for next year.

Really? I think the Mulan cover is beautiful! The Pocahontas one is okay but not as good.
What's on these special editions? Nothing new from the U.S. releases or is there?

well, to me Mulan looks rather transfigured...
As for the content, I think it's only the booklet with lyrics, and some sing-a-long, maybe?
