I wonder if it would be possible for Disney Treasures to put the ANNETTE SERIAL in both Black & White AND in Color on the DVD? What a treat that would be. :o

I have a DVD for the 1995 made for TV movie of the Annette Funicello Story. I ordered it from www.thevideobeat.com
Good Luck searching there for a copy. I've ordered other titles from them and they are good.
Hope this helps.

Some folks here say there were 19 episodes for the Annette Serial.
I say there were 20 episodes if you count the episode called "An Introduction" by Katy the housekeeper. I sure hope the Treasures series does not leave out the episode called "The Hayride" That was the best one.

If you go to Amazon now:

Mickey Mouse Club Presents: 1957-58 season?

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

You get this instead of Annette, which used to be the Donald Duck page apparently, if you look at the reviews.

I wonder what is going on?

The old Annette links now take me to Donald Duck.

Which is now presented by the Mickey Mouse Club?

I wonder what is going on.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I just found an interview with Leonard Maltin where he says he is putting 10 of the MouseWorks Donald Duck cartoons on the new volume.

Here's the link:

Sorry, if this is old news.

I e-mailed Amazon on this link information problem mixing up the Annette DVD listing with the Donald Vol. 4 listing. I have not yet received a reply, but will post any reply I receive.

This is all too typical of occasional errors in Amazon's listing of products. Amazon has made these sorts of mistakes before on both Disney and non-Disney products.

Hopefully Amazon will correct this mistake soon.

Update on my e-mail to Amazon on the Donald Duck ? Annette listing mixup.

Amazon has replied to my e-mail inquiry and says it will be 3-5 days to research the problem. Hopefully it will be fixed soon after that.

I don't think this screw up is a problem about the Treasures sets being released as planned. Amazon has had glitches like this on a wide variety of products when they've "updated" their information.

Hopefully, it will be sorted out within a week or so.

Leonard Maltin just returned an email and said that they just finished the Annette set, that it had less singing than he had hoped due to clearances.

He also said the treasure would feature the Annette Disney family album, the 30 minute promotional video that came out with her box set in 1993, and interviews with Annette's husband, Richard Sherman, Sharon Baird, and Shelly Fabares.

So, that's cool.

What boxed set of hers was released in 1993? And what was this 30-minute promo video?

The 10-volume VHS set of The Mickey Mouse Club seemed to each begin with a current intro of Annette as she recounted memories of working with Walt and the Club (I can't be certain of this, as I only have three of the VHS tapes.). Could this be what has been described by Mr. Maltin?

I think it's the 30 minute video that promoted Annette's CD box set of her Disney label recordings.

Leonard Maltin was referring to the music CD box set and the 30 minute
promo video for that product.

Has anyone viewed this promo video? What's it like? I guess it could be in the same league as the radio spots included on the "Pollyanna" Vault Disney Edition, or the publicity photos and posters we find on various Disney DVD bonus feature sections.

Although I never received the promised update e-mail from Amazon on the Annette / Donald linkage problems, at least the links in my pre-orders do send me to the correct DVD title.

The Annette DVD still has Donald reviews and the Donald DVD still has Annette & Donald reviews. Hopefully, that will be fixed soon.

Wonder where all the MMC fans are!?!?! The sales of the Annette volume are ALOT lower on the Amazon Sales tracker then the other two volumes. :(
