Are you sure that "Rapunzel" will be the last CGI Disney film? I mean, we're not sure if "King of the Elves" will be traditionally animated or in CGI, right? As much as I want all of the upcoming movies to be traditionally animated, aren't they basing what medium to use based on the story?

I saw the trailer for the first time last night in front of Wall-E, it looks like a good movie! I looooove the hamster! He's so funny! I can't wait to see the whole movie. I think it will be another Disney success! Many people in the theater laughed and appreciated the trailer so that's a great start!

Yes, well, Walt was dead when they made The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, too - - yet those those films carried on his spirit to a new generation -- and I think there is still a great market for that.

My thoughts on the Bolt trailer:

- The previous character designs were a lot better
- The story seems more action/adventure-oriented than when I first heard about American Dog; I just have a feeling that the movie will be all fun and games with a cliche, sentimental scene here and there
- I'm not too sure about John Travolta
- I didn't laugh (though this has been happening with all Disney and Pixar trailers recently)

It really doesn't look to be much better than the last two Disney CGI features, honestly.

The hampster is the best I've seen so far. I laughed at the end when Bolt says "we're going to need a fast set of wheels" and the hampster laughs and says "I'll go get my ball" that was a LOL moment!

Well, they influence WDFA enough to sack Chris Sanders, so I don't think you can call them seperate anymore. When they have power of hirings and firing... (and yes, even if Sanders did walk out on his own violation, its pretty much the same)

My impression of the trailer: must be a loud and noisy movie with sci-fi elements and 'been-there-done-that' action-gags ( I mean, how many times does the cat have to hang above an abyss?) for people with short attention-span. Looks stale already to me. Girl is cute though.

What's wrong with a stylish, bit more quiet-paced, sometimes even contemplative movie? Like Lady and the Tramp for instance? I know, it's "old-fashioned" and "boring".

But I may be wrong. After all, the trailer of Hercules didn't appeal to me either for much the same reasons, but when I finally saw it on DVD I thougt it was better than I expected.

Yeah,Walt came back as a ghost like Mufasa and told them to make The Little Mermaid,Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin,whatever .

Please watch the movie, then make up your mind. Trailers can be, and sometimes are purposefully, misleading.

Anyhow, the animation alone looks great. MTR and Chicken Little were incredibly sterile (as were most Pixar movies until Ratatouille), so I'm very glad Disney bought Pixar and probably used all their technology to upgrade their own visuals.

Anyhow, in an age were animation is no longer an amazing new medium that attracted adults as much as children (i.e. Walt's age), animation's main target audience is children. If children find the jokes funny, then good on Disney. Some people don't realized that not everything is marketed for themselves.

No,calling people cynical or superficial because they said that a person is dead is personal attacks,I explained him that Walt is dead and it's Disney,not Walt Disney and you decided to make personal attacks out of it.

<strike>It's not "Walt Disney" because its not the Disney Company policy anymore. Its as simple as that. You can see this by their "branding" of stuff like the recently released "Sword in the Stone" DVD. Although this seems to be a recent change of policy (The Pirates and National Treasure films were Walt Disney branded)</strike>

UPDATE: I see the R1 Sword in the Stone is "Walt Disney" branded. I thought it wasn't. Perhaps its just the UK one which is just called "Disney's".

Am I one of the only ones, or do a significant number of other people not look forward to this from the trailer? To be honest, it looks like a cheapie that only kids would really enjoy. I wish that this was the trailer for American Dog, to be honest.

^ your not the only one. bolt looks so bland. and its especially hard to watch that trailer knowing the history this project has been through.

I saw the trailer with Wall*E today and it looks cool. It looks better than that horrible 'Beverly Hills Chihuahua'. *shudders*

Btw, does anyone know how much more expensive 3D tickets are? I heard they were 3 times as much as normal movie tickets, which are about $12 here...

Lassater and the Pixar crew helped rework Meet the Robinsons, which subsequently moved its release date back. The movie ended up being a much better version than it would have been originally. I can't believe Pixar wouldn't have done the same for this.
