Well, he was about 22 and she was about 12, so there was a tweleve year difference. But John Smith always thought of Pocahontas as his mother, see when she saved him in the Powhatan culture, she adopted him. So, it was a family relationship. Over the years it was turned into a bit of a Romeo and Juliet story, but it wasn't like that in real life.

Yes! And red hair as well. 8)

Oh, and Umbrellafish, just have to respond to your post: he was 27, not 22. and he regarded Pocahontas as a sort of daughter, I've read.

But now we should go back on topic...

As far as Fantasia, Hercules, and Hunchback of Notre Dame go it's obvious that they'll release them at some point in time. I don't know why people seem to freak out about their release when it's completely obvious that they will be released again.

Fantasia is in the Platinum line, I would assume that it'll be released after Pinocchio actually. I think it'd be a perfect title for the fall because it's a film that appeals to many different people, which would make a nice Special Edition realease of it ideal for the holiday season.

Hercules and Hunchback fall into a special catigory of film that I believe Disney notices and takes advantage of... and that is the "not good enough for a platinum, but too good for a silly named release" films. These are the films that make the company a good amount of money and are recognized by a lot of people, but just don't cut it as far as the platinums go. I think that the company is saving these films to help support the switch to Blu-ray. They are both very visually appealing and have great soundtracks. They would also be a lot easier to remaster into the Blu-ray format because they are so "young" and are for the most part ready for the jump. I also wouldn't be surprised if we got a new release of Lilo & Stitch soon, for the same reasons.

This really is all my opinion, but I'm pretty confident in the fact that Disney doesn't really want to screw us all over. I think they really are buying time by releasing nothing that exciting so that people have the incentive to upgrade to Blu-ray. To be honest, I think this is really the only reason why Sleeping Beauty is being released at this time.

I don't think so - otherwise they would not have made the films in the first place.

Yeah, after all, these movies are still fairly recent, it's not like Fantasia, where over time the content has become offensive.

I don't really see the reason to upgrade the still available GC DVDs of Herc/Hunch since the latest S.E. haven't been that special at all...

I wonder why Hercules hasn't got released yet and why people are saying that he's underrated,he's overrated a lot in Kingdom Hearts and House Of Mouse (From what I see),maybe Hunchback is underrated but still,Hercules was sucessful? I think he might be a Platinum Edition.

Again, keep reaching for that rainbow. "Hercules" will not be a Platinum Edition any time soon/
