But Widdi's saying the Blu-Ray cover doesn't say "Platinum Edition" on it, which may indicate that Platinum BDs won't be under any specific collection. The cover you just posted is the standard DVD cover.

If you mean that Walmart posted, then I don't think it's official and we"ll have to wait, but maybe they will start a new line.

It certainly is not final, but the PE banner is missing. Even in the concept art of the PE DVDs the banner is always included. Makes me think that Sleeping Beauty will come to Blu-Ray as a 50th Anniversary Edition only and not as a 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition. The Platinum banner shall be reserved for the DVD only. Which is good foreshadowing for Pinocchio and Fantasia's BD releases, as well as any of the already released PE DVDs.

You know the line though, right, Flanger?
Honestly, I prefer the line "TINA! BRING ME THE AX!" Maybe because my friend does an amazing reading of it.
I don't. Could you please tell me?

Someday, Flanger, you must rent "Mommie Dearest". You're not really gay until you've seen it.

Flanger-Hanger, don't waste your time on Mommie, it's just not worth it.

Um, there's this thing were a movie is good because it's bad, like "Plan Nine From Outer Space" or "Crash" ... no one was ever claiming "Mommie Dearest" to the pinnacle of the motion picture history.

Hey, what about the rest of us straight folk who just love so-bad-they're-good-and-highly-quotable movies?
I love the "TINA! BRING ME THE AXE!" line too, but I think my absolute favorite is "Tear down that B***H of a bearing wall and put a window where it ought to be!" Or probably "Don't F**K with me fellas! This ain't my first time at a rodeo!"
And of course, the soap opera fan in me just loves when she's filling in for Christina on
The Secret Storm (which they don't mention the title of in the movie, nor do they use the proper theme music on the organ. Was annoyed at both of those oversights...) and gives that Emmy Award winning performance: "Bill...could you...could you call..."

Don't waste your breath, SITS777. Trying to convince UD's #1 MST3K fan to not watch a bad movie is like trying to convince tree-killing DVD condom lovers to stick those babies in a paper shredder.
Come to think of it, an MST3K-ment of
Mommie Dearest would be a excellent...

Wait...
Mommie Dearest IS NOT the pinnacle of motion picture history?
News to me.

Well I just watched the original theatrical trailer for the movie, which includes the wire hanger line and I felt uncomfortable watching it. Joan Crawford makes Cruella de Vil look pleasant.
And Albert, there's always riftrax in the future. And now you've given me a title on this thread! Do I get a badge or something?
SitS777, you're talking to someone who watched The Giant Gila Monster and Earth Vs. the Spider without any riffs and wants to see Roadhouse because some gold coloured puppet on a TV shows says its his favorite movie. Also Newsies got all the nominations you listed and I still like it.

Good, the movie's working properly then!

True, I forgot about those!

Well, it just shows that you have impeccable taste, of course!

Ugh, I keep waiting for an occasion in my life to come up where I can use that line. Hopefully in my "Writing the Feature Film" class, I think the reference would work well there.
Flangy, you and I should like unite MST3K powers someday to, like, create our own Satellite of Love for the torture of sane people.

that mock bluray cover obviously is not the final draft...
the sleeping beauty banner takes up 75% of the cover
and the two banners on the bottom overlap eachother...
i don't see how everyone is getting so confused.
the trailer quite clearly states:
"...and disney's first ever platinum animated film
released on hi-definition bluray disc."

There you go... Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition Bluray.
