My mom and stepdad got me a reloadable Subway card and a pair of LSU pajama pants. My dad's supposed to be giving me money. Plus I'll probably be getting a shirt or something from my aunt.

For myself I got Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on DVD and a shirt, pair of jeans, and a pair of pajama pants from American Eagle. Seasons 4 and 5 of NewsRadio are going to be a late Christmas present to myself when I get paid in January.

But I was happy to finally be able to give presents this year. I got my mom and stepdad an electric grill/griddle thing, I got my dad a crockpot, and I got my grandma a red sweatsuit type outfit.

It's a combo of things really. Partly, most of us have birthdays within a few weeks of Christmas - my mother, myself and my grandfather - and my girlfriend and grandmother are a month either side of Christmas. By the time we get to Christmas day, the gift-giving is really just for the sake of it anyway. Hence, the token chocolates this year. We pretty much just worked out that what we spend on gifts, could probably provide food, water or a donkey somewhere in the world. Besides, I buy myself enough crap throughout the year... :)

That's not to put a downer on the lists though! I love seeing what everyone is getting and giving. There is still that wonderful joy to opening up that present on the day!!! Santa was very kind to people this year it would seem :D

I didn't know they were known outside of the German speaking part of Europe. I love the Sissi movies, although they have nothing to do with historical fact, but still they're sooo sweet.
I got them for Christmas last year. Are they dubbed, ot subtitled?

The movies are subtitled. They're so wonderful aren't they? Amazon.com sells the entire box set.
