That's right, I'm here for the event of the season once again!
I promised I'd say that otherwise they wouldn't give me the gig! The b***ards!

It's all that Luke's doing! He still pissed at me because I keep trying to get a picture of him and share his secret identity with the world! Plus I think he's trying to kill me pet anteater Mr Sucky!

Well what chaos will befall us this year? What madness will unfold, with Eisner and Lasseter on the loose God only knows what will happen! Will the events turn out to be side splitting and hilarious or will the appear strung together at the last minute and full of plot holes like either of the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels... (whispering in Joan's ear)

Apprantly my lawyers have said that I should withdraw that last remark, considering the sponsor of these awards and say something derogatory about Dreamworks instead!

Well to hell with that!

With the ceremony already under way let's take a look at these pictures from earlier of some guests arriving.

Here was Just Myself arriving earlier with Minnie Mouse. God she's been putting herself about lately. Last year you'll remember she turned up with Dave Wadding which it's rumoured was to get back at Mickey who the previous year had turned up with Daisy Duck on his arm! There's a lot of bed swapping in toon town!



Incidentally Minnie has just been released from her 2 month stint in rehab and is planning a comeback single with Lindsay Lohan!

Snapped on the red-carpet earlier on were Amy Grant and the Merman turning up. Rumours are that tonights host Aaron wasn't happy seeing his beloved Amy with another man.



Of course Amy's appearance tonight follows recent newspaper reports that she's had to step up security after receiving nuisance phone calls by someone who's only been identified as having the initials AW! And there the security guards are! Why they're none other than the bouncers from 2005's ceremony!



Other celebrity guests who turned up earlier this evening were The Olsen Twins Mary-Kate and Ashley.



You know I can never tell which is which. Is Ashley the fatter one?

Yes things are really swinging here, Pinkrenata's at the bar already (as you'd imagine), and 2099net seems to be complaining to Sleepy the dwarf about the recent Evolution of the daleks episode of Doctor Who!

Oh and just turning up now, fashionably late is Britney Spears!

Oh well, we'll probably catch up with her later, she'll probably have married someone and divorced them again by the end of the night!

I'm guessing that UD reviewing non-Disney DVDs isn't going to win a Golden Mickey now, however, since otherwise this would have been the perfect image to represent the Disney-esque non-Disney review that debuted the transition.

Thanks, Aaron, for running these awards again - along with the Media/Movie awards, they're a fun ritual that really define this little Internet community and bring notice to what works about it.

Ok, so now that I am ready to enjoy the awards, first I want to thank Aaron for running and presenting this year's awards, and of course I congratulate Escapay on winning the Golden Mickey for Signature of the Year!!
