Finally! I can't wait to add this to my collection.

I'm glad all of the bonus features from the 25th Anniversary Edition DVD are being carried over. I'm a bit iffy on the cover art though. It's a bit blasé for my taste. Oh well, it's the movie that counts.

wow this will be the first time i dont buy a rerelease of a disney dvd, there is no reason to pick this one up, unless like escapay says it boast a new widescreen transfer.

i prefer the orginal artwork to, the new artwork isnt bad mind you but the 25th anniversery edition art is better.

while this release isnt for me its great that the people who missed the boat on the prior release now have a chance to own it.

I feel like I may be alone on this one, but I think I like this cover art more than the 25th Anniversary. I just hope they go back to it and readjust some of the characters because there is something not right about them, specifically Pooh and Tigger. Then again, I feel like this with every new cover art if any of you have noticed.

I think I may double dip, but I'm still up in the air for the most part...

I also find the artwork to be lacking a bit. I think that it's just a prototype. It will change sooner or later.

I think that Pooh looks fine on the new cover, but I think Tigger looks a little off. I have the 25th Anniversary Edition, so I'm not going to buy this one.

*Looks at Winnie The Pooh's 25th cover, then glimpses at Friendship cover* I agree with Blackcalurdon, Pooh, Eeyore, Rabbit, and Piglet look very good on both. But Tigger looks alil off, but if you look at this pic






And then look at Friendship, they're quite the same design.





I'm fine with my 25th Aniversary dvd, now if Disney was smart enough to place Pooh in the platinum line, then I would buy it in a heart beat.

I'll be buying this one. I missed out on the 25th Anniv. Ed. I also think the bonus features are pretty good for a single-disc rerelease.
I don't much like the coverart, though. Not full enough...

I own the 25th anniversary edition, so I will only upgrade, like many others, if this is presented in widescreen OR if there is a deal on it(around $10), in which case it would look better on my shelf with a slipcover (sorry Escapay). I like the new cover art, but I've never been a huge fan of cover art for Pooh films. There just isn't anything particularly interesting about them:


If I had to choose, I'd say the 25th Anniversary artwork is the best.

I just saw this! Thanks. I'm glad that everything is ported over so that I won't miss out on anything. Comparing the 25th AE and this new Friendship Edition, both of the coverarts are nice. I don't dislike or like one of them over the other. The only upgrades are, what, FastPlay and some CGI show that I will never watch? Oh well, this single disc release is solid, and I'm glad that I will have the chance to see it. If all goes well, there will be two purchases on June 19th, this and "Bridge to Terebithia"!

NOTE:

I looked at the cover, turned my head so Pooh is right-side up, and something is oddly incorrect about it. I do agree that his eyebrows and eyes are not proportional to his head/face. I hope that changes.

goofystitch, I agree about the 25AE being the best coverart. Now, I'm going off to cry at the prospect of one of the reasons for double-dipping being that the slipcover improves the look of things on your shelf.

What a nice new cover art! Im finally going to own "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" cause its been FOREVER since I've seen it.

And yes slipcovers always make your DVD shelf look nicer..."hehe"

Why dosen't Disney just truned the Friendship Edition into the 30th Anniversary Edition seeing that 2007 is the 30th Anniversary for many 1977 Disney Films.

I might take a gander at it, see if it's any good or not. I'm just glad that nothing is being lost from the old edition.

I'm not into the 25th anniversary cover. That background brown sandpaper color is not very eye-pleasing. I forgot how enjoyable the VHS cover is though. Still love the Friendship Edition one the best (except for Tigger's nose).

I don't mind the cover, I always actually thought the one for the 25th anniversary edition was really plain and bland compared to the cover art on most other Disney DVDs.

As for the CGI show, I'll give it a watch once. I'm hoping it's not in the same format as Little Einsteins and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse where the characters talk to you and pause for responses.

From the promos I've seen, that's exactly what it's going be.

Oh boo This will probably be the first Pooh series that I don't enjoy then. I would like the toddler shows much better without the interactive dialog. I mean, do kids actually talk back to the TV screen?
