Dacp wrote:No compilation set? Aw, and that was the one I was REALLY looking forward to... Pluto and Mickey Mouse B&W will be good, but I'm not sure what to expect from the other two. They won't be as good as the compilation set, I'm sure. No more "Donald in Mathmagic Land"...

What are you saying?
The True Life Adventure Set will be a big hit I´m sure of it - at last to own on DVD.

This installment shows how Disneyland has grown over the first 35 years of its existence. Featured are clips from Disneyland's Pre-Opening Report from 1955 with Walt Disney, Art Linkletter, Bob Cummings, and Ronald Reagan.
It would be perfect.
AND it is one of the final episodes of the original Disneyland series
(under a different name and network of course)

dizfan wrote:But practically the only thing that Walt ever did about Disney World was going to be released this year on the Tomorrowland DVD with EPCOT. With that released, there is hardly anything Walt-hosted to justify a two disc release like they did with Disneyland.
True, but who says they spots need to be hosted by Walt? Even though he passed, his legacy lives on through the others who brought WDW to fruition.

I personally would not want a Walt Disney Treasure if Walt didn't have anything to do with the making of what I am watching. That wouldn't be what these sets are supposed to be about. It's about Walt's work, not his succesors (especially since they changed his plans so much to begin with).
I already noticed they are including some post Walt stuff as extras on the Mickey Mouse 2 set, which is fine since it's extras. But to make a set with just stuff that Walt had nothing to do with is not a good "WALT DISNEY Treasure".
I also would not want them to include Disneyland specials after Walt died in this series. Despite wanting them, this is about Walt's work. There are plenty of Walt-hosted Disneyland specials left for another package.

Well i am not at all impressed with the scheduled 4 wave 4 releases, if those are what indeed winds up being released...
Mickey in Black and White vol 2 - This one will be great and I highly anticipate it, but...
Complete Pluto - this will be bought ofcoarse, for completeness sake, but pluto cartoons, like Goffy cartoons, are not among my favorites...
True Life Adventures - well I have decided to try and buy all the treasures so again I will have to buy this one, but I don't know if this will be my fave, I did not like the Grand Canyon short on the SB DVD, and if this is in the same vain than...
Mickey Mouse Club - I just don't know what to expect from this.... What usually comprised the episodes of this show, I remeber the song, and had a MMC jacket, but that's about all...
basically they are all definately things I will buy I just wish, they seemed more enticing...
These are the ones I would like to see
Donald vol.2 and beyond (how ever many more would need to be made)
Silly Symphonies vol. 2
Educational/Compalation set
Fantasyland (similar to Tomarrowland, but shows talking about fairytale releases and the attractions in this section of the park...)
and basically a lot of other stuff that's been said, but i think the above listed are givens for the future...

Darn it! More of these DVD's are being released, and I have only one copy. Guess I better add them to my Christmas list.
