Let's just keep it on topic. It seems a lot of threads are being derailed with policatal and politically incorrect nonesense.
I like SOME musicals. Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Rocky Horror, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King...That covers it pretty much
Though I'd like to see Wicked.

If you had bothered to spell that correctly, I might have you know that peoples' lives are not nonsense.
So, have a nice day.

My saxophone teacher told me that the best music has melody, harmony, and chord progressions. This is not universally true, but most of the music I like has those attributes.
The musical genres I listen to most often are country, classic rock, jazz, and soundtrack. My favorite artist is presently Brad Paisley.

I don't know what all of this guff about rap music is all about because...
1. Not all rap uses vulgarity, and IMO some rap that does isn't that bad. The rap that I listen too if it does have vulgarity I usually turn it down in my car, it's just common courtesy especially when there's kids out.
2. Not all rap musicians are African American and that shouldn't even matter, anybody can be a rap artist. Just because you don't like rap doesn't make you a racist, everybody has their own taste in music. And if you are listening to it and they use the n-word that also doesn't make you a racist.
3. Not all rap degrades women. I never even think about that when I'm listening to it. I think magazines, and TV degrades women more. These types of media pick at women's self-esteem making them forget how beautiful they actually are.
4. Rap artist win Emmys for crying out loud! (As I'm recalling the last Emmy awards)
5. If the bass is bothering you simply turn your base knob down but then your stereo will sound like a transistor radio that they had back in the 40's. This is the 21st century; we should listen to our music in a higher quality. Which is the reason why people (like me) buy amps and sub-woofers because they don’t want their music to sound crappy? I will agree however that some people who go to the extreme and buy really powerful amps and subs are just ridiculous. I don't know how they can stand that because I sure can't.
6. If someone pulls up next to your car with they're rap music blasting, simply roll up your windows and turn your music up. I hate when people do that to me so I just roll my windows up and crank up Zeppelin! Unfortunately what’s worse is when you don’t have a window to roll up. When you're eating a meal outside of a restaurant and someone pulls up and parks their car with their vulgar music blasting out, that's just plain rude especially when children are out. It makes me really sad when people don't think and make children listen to that. This is mainly why my city has a noise ordinance.
7. I don't know why I care about it and why I'm telling you all this because I'm a rocker not a rapper.
