Great review Albert. I agree with you, I'm so over it. It's so cliched, I just hope that our generation isn't defined by it, as The Breakfast Club, etc. were for the 80's. I hope that our generation is like defined by the movie "Thirteen", or something like that, I can't really think of something else right now.

I actually might give my old one to one of my sibs and buy this cause I actually do wanna watch the new features.....It would have been a lot smarter if just this one would have been released

Well, I bought and recieved this "superficial"* dvd.

Oh my word. How the image suffers when shown in 4:3. Why do Disney insist on this when it was obviously filmed widescreen. I couldn't begin to count the number of times a supporting cast member disappeared out of frame, only to appear later (sometimes seconds later) when it's obvious they would remain onscreen all the time in 1:85 or so.

Plus, in addition to this, there's just so many camera set-ups which look cramped, or the main subjet is almost, but not quite, in the centre of the composition (something I doubt would be so noticable in widescreen).

It's hideous.

It reminds me of Ghostbusters in Pan and Scan: for a long time I thought that there were only 2 ghostbusters!
