DuckTales: The Movie Treasure of the Lost Lamp is a differnt movie then the pilot episodes. Treasure of the Golden Suns is the 5 part pilot episodes.

Which idiot at Disney designed the cover art for Chip 'n Dale? He/She didn't even bother to change the spine like he/she did with DuckTales.

I was thinking that too! It looks like a poorly put together fan made cover! I really hope Disney changes it! There are other characters on the show that deserve spine/cover spots! Please fix it!

Every time I see this thread bumped up I hear the CnD theme song in my head, and it stays there for a good fifteen minutes. Ch-ch-ch-CHIP AND DAAALE, RES-CUE RAAANNNNGERRS....

Obviously I'm thrilled they keep producing these, but it does beg some common sense issues.

I don't really understand the "classic" Chip N' Dale Design for the cover, nor does it make sense that the pilots are on the second volume. While I am very happy about their inclusion, I still don't quite get the mindset behind the move.

All of this does make me wonder what the futute holds for their TV shows. Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Gargoyles, Talespin, Gummie Bears and Darkwing Duck are all in DVD Volume sets. Gooftroop and Quackpack are in smaller versions (though hopefully that changes) and as a whole the more popular Disney Afternoon cartoons are on DVD. So where do they go from here?

Do they venture into the less popular shows? Do they tap into Winnie the Pooh? Mouseworks? House of Mouse? Just wondering where they view as the next steps.

Not liking the cover art of Chip 'n Dale to be honest, but the whole issue with the pilot episodes is surely a minor gripe. In the UK the pilot episodes were definitely shown around this point in the series and besides, it's a DVD, if you have that much issue with where they come in the series then just watch them first!

Now, my only problem is the speed of release. Come on Disney, do as has been done with Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain and release them three-four months apart. I'm sure most people who are buying these (e.g. kids from the 80s/90s) can afford to buy more than one set a year.

It appears Dale's right arm and Chip's left arm have considerably shrunk!

But yeah, it's better to see them in their RR garb than in their naked-like-in-the-shorts version.

Yes, finally Disney change the artwork for Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers.
I already knew this since this evening I even mention it in the chatroom with Escapay, Timon/Pumbaa Fan, Tabbi, Pinkrenata and Finch.

But in the night tvshowsonDVD was down..

The new cover art looks way better. Before they looked like rough sketches of the characters.

NEW COVER ART FOR CHIP N DALE RESCUE RANGERS VOLUME 2

Here is the link to the new cover art as reported by www.tvshowsondvd.com. Below is the link to the new artwork. Also I think many will be relieved to know that Chip and Dale are no longer "Nude". Instead they have their normal rescue ranger out fits on and the side panel has a new updated side art as well.

Also sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere.

You think they'll ever include those extended theme song music videos that were done for Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck?

I can't even find them on youtube (unlike the Disney Afternoon openings), so I wonder if we'll ever be treated to them as extras...

Any comments about the picture quality?

Picture quality is above average. I'd say 3.5/5. Some episodes look better than others. It certainly is better on DVD than on TV.
