The review is awesome! I blind-bought the DVD, well - because my kids asked me to. I've seen a few episodes of the TV show, and they certainly were looking forward to this release. I haven't seen it yet - but most definitely will watch this weekend.

Leroy is a pretty good name for Experiment 627. I used Google and found out its meaning is "the king". He practically is a king of all the experiments. He has all of Stitch's powers in addition to shape-shifting, been cloned to form an army, and snapped up the other experiments on the island like Prince John snapped up the poor's money in Robin Hood.
I ordered the movie at a video store on Wednesday so I should get a call that's in today. I can hardly wait to watch it. I missed seeing it on the Disney channel.

Leroy is Experiment 628
There already was a 627.

Based on the reviews of this I bought "Leroy and Stitch" blind at Best Buy.
Am really disappointed with this one. Even my grandkids won't sit still for this one. They love "Stitch The Movie" and "Lilo & Stitch" and I recorded some of the "Lilo" series onto DVD for them and they watch them endlessly. This particular title however, does not even keep their attention for more than a few minutes.
My wife and I sat down and tried to watch this because we are really fans of "Lilo & Stitch", but this one takes a lot of effort to keep your attention. Maybe they should have tried something different with this, like maybe linked some episodes of the television series in a two-disc set or something.
The 'lost' episode that is included here is probably the highlight of what is a rather boring outing from the Disney factory.

*ponders for a moment* Oh, right there was. I saw a pic of that one a long time ago and I have kind of a bad memory. Well, now I'm confused why some people thought it was cute marketing that Leroy & Stitch came out 6/27 and Leroy isn't even Experiment 627.
I'm watching the movie for the first time now. I don't like the laughing and carrying on over the name Leroy when there's a serious situation happening! So Hampsterviel thought of the name, get over it! Don't like buffoons over a little thing like that when there are more terrible things to be concerned about! And if there's any name that's laughable, it's Hampsterviel's since he's been mistakenly or purposely addressed as Hampster
wheel by people in the series even by the Grand Council Woman!

Because this was the first line of BVHE's press release:
Disney wrote:Meet Leroy, aka ‘experiment 627!’
But then Tony Craig, someone who knew what was going on (i.e. one of the directors/producers) set us straight in this very thread.
