Now my sister could buy them for her daughter.

I read it as requested.

I wish I had a kid to buy these DVDs for.
Then again, I don't want a kid. at least not yet.

Though I dont see myself picking up either one of these DVDs it does make me happy that Disney is putting some effort forward in not onliny entertaining kids but teaching them too. All though it still fressh and it shows that there is some room for improvement on the DVDs. I am still Proud . Thanks for the Reviews Luke .

The Incredibles and Bambi reviews were both good but when is The Roger Rabbit and Monster's Inc. review coming?

Jack was supposed to work on finishing those and he disappeared five weeks ago and hasn't been heard from. So I don't know.

Not really, I'm afraid. I just don't have time to do currently-available DVDs and I don't even own <i>Roger Rabbit</i>. Well, I can say this: "<i>Monsters, Inc.</i> is a fantastic DVD set that everyone should own." Jake Lipson did the first part of the set and time and interest allowing, I'm sure he'll be able to finish it at some point.

I've added a new review for Sacred Planet. In addition, Aaron and I have added a star rating (out of 5) for each of these DVDs that has been recently reviewed in the list on the first page of this thread. Take it as an overall score that takes into consideration both the movie and the DVD presentation, when there is a clear difference. Of course, the reviews go into greater detail, and these aren't really adding anything new, but for as long as I've avoided using numbers instead of words...maybe some of you will find these new scores useful.

Sacred Planet reminds me of National Geographic you know about all the different animals or creatures around the world.

I had really been looking forward to the 'Sacred Planet' review and I was happy to see it up when I got home. I liked the review and it makes me want to go out and rent it. I'm sure I won't buy it but it looks like something I'd want to see atleast once.

Hmmmm intreasting I was watching a Wrinkle in time this weekend and I saw a trailer for Sacred planet defintley planning on renting it if Blockbuster will carry it, because I know we never received America's heart and Soul and I wanted to see that. I am not much of a nautre girl but I dont think I would mind seeing it on TV. Thanks for the great review Luke .

Good job with Sacred Planet, Luke. I really didn't know what it was going to be and you gave us a pretty good idea. Doesn't really seem like my cup of tea, though.

Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N., a 1966 comedy starring the incomparable Dick Van Dyke.

Great review, Luke! It's a shame it doesn't sound any more promising. I had higher hopes for a Dick Van Dyke movie. Still, it's something I'd like to see for myself. Very cool that Yinsed Retlaw appears in the opening credits... I may not have spotted that on my own.

Thanks, Aaron. Nice to hear people are reading the reviews. The old live action films are a lot of fun to revisit. They're kind of tougher to give a star rating too, though, since the DVD's are consistently bare and inconsistent in other ways (picture quality, aspect ratio, etc.).

So, anyway I'm giving the two latest the same rating, where <i>Bullwhip Griffin</i> has actually gotten a nice DVD and <i>The Barefoot Executive</i> hasn't, but is just a very fun movie.

And for those of you who won't read non-animated reviews, <i>Bullwhip Griffin</i> features animated transitions and interstitials by one of Walt's Nine Old Men, Ward Kimball himself.

Nice review on the Barefoot Exectuive I am not really farmiliar with some of the early Disney Live Action movies (1970s era) so its nice being able to read about the movies helps me pick out which ones I want to see.

Also it was cool seeing pictures of Kurt Russell when he was young he hasnt changed much. Anyways thanks Luke for yet another awsome review.

Reviews are good...but they keep Luke away from UD chat.
It's okay though, because I read those reviews.

I have already seen Barefoot Exectuive on VHS but I'm not going to buy it on DVD yet.
