It's so wrong that I was so excited that the the stickers left no residue this wave
I found nail varnish remover did the trick last year.

I never had any trouble getting the stickers off the tin. I am always pretty careful doing that.

I've tried rubbing alchol on mine, and it just made the sticky stuff yellow. My mom said that we had Goo Gone somewhere, but it'll be a challenge to figure out where the Goo Gone had gone.
How to remove glue from Treasures Tins?

I mean the glue residue from the security stickers. I KNOW they are many threads about this kind of stuff but I cannot find any. The search button does not work for me. Help anyone? Thanks.

I don't have any links handy but I've found that setting some peanut butter on that type of glue for a few minutes and then rubbing it off with a soft cloth will take care of it.
There's also a product available called
Goo Gone that works well with removing this type of stuff.

I have honestly never had a hard time just peeling them off.

Yes, but sometimes a sticky glue residue remains where the stickers have been - I normally don't worry as I store the tins away in my closet, but I've heard the peanut butter trick works. I wouldn't try stuff like nail polish remover though.

Goo gone is my go-to product for glue and sticker residue left on slipcovers, and it has yet to fail me.

Goo Gone would work the best of the suggestions above but I always use a little bit of Grease Remover on a paper towel. Works like a charm.

Goo Gone's already been mentioned, but if a mod could merge with the existing thread...
Getting the sticky stuff off of the WDT tins...
Hope that helps...

From working in a video store years back I developed too much knowledge about removing stickers from library purchases (say 2000 tapes from another store that had to be restickered) so I'm a dab-hand at stickers.
Forget all the potions and remedies, the glue that the security stickers use is most easily removed by... the remaining glue on the security sticker itself. Peel the sticker off like normal, then reapply it over the residue, rip it off, and repeat until it's all gone.
Takes about ten seconds, leaves nothing behind.

I had this trouble for the longest time, but then I found a product called Goo Gone. It removes any sticky substance, marks, and pretty much anything. It works wonders, and works on dvd cases, books, and again, pretty much anything. You only need to use a little bit at a time, so it lasts a long time.
