I agree! I think the composition looks great! I'd love to see a rendition similar to the video art/original theatrical for the platinum edition!

the cover should be simple and it should only have ariel on it or ariel and prince eric but the movie is about ariel

i like the cover were shes swimming to the surface but i think it should be a screenshot of ariel during the part of your world song

oh or maybe a shot of when shes singing to eric that would be great

i like the poster...but I doubt it is going to happen. It will be full of every charachter crammed in as tight as can be.

In my opinion that poster would be better in the collector's giftset, as they already said! :)

I agree. I think the picture of Ariel swimming to the surface is best. It's eerily beautiful and elegant in a way.
I've had enough with the comdies. I'm ready for another fairytale / drama / musical.
Well, the Corpse Bride is coming out on Sept 23...and it's a morbid romantic musical. Yay! :D

Well regarding the cover art I am not really sure what I would like to see. However I do know i dont want anymore cartoony looking covers. Aladdins's cover was nice but it was a let down. Aladdin lookes really fat in his face. I am not sure I just dont want the characters to look goofy i guess.

I like the poster that brownie put up. I think it says the most about the movie without showing too much. Though, like everyone said, Disney will most likely just draw a whole new cover.

Gwildor, your custom cover art is pretty good! Though I think the banners would be silver/platinum accoriding to the trend so far. I think Disney might do the same thing, except have just Ursula on the top. King Triton might be on the back. Anyhow, good work!

I would like the cover to have the reprise of PoYW scene like the one rb_canadian posted. Ursula would be on the top above the shell title logo (like the one Gwildor used), looking down menacingly. The splash from Ariel and the sea would continue to the back. On the front beneath Ariel, Sebastian would be looking at her upset and Flounder looking at her happy. The water and sea from the front would lead to the shores near Eric's seaside palace. Eric would be walking with Max, Grimsby, and Carlotta. In boxes showing movie scenes, there'd be a scene with Triton, a scene with Ariel as human, and the scene with Scuttle showing Ariel and Flounder the dinglehopper or snarfblatt.

It's not too bad. I think it'd be better without Sebastian & Flounder. They look awkward on there.

Yeah, I like it alot. Hopefully Disney will keep the actual cover art simple too. It doesn't need to be crowded.

Nice work Gwildor! Your ideas are great! I think the first cover you made would be great, just that Eric wouldn't be there, and Ariel would be doing the "Part of Your World" splashy thing.

Gwildor,
I love your cover art. If only Disney would use that or Brownie's 1998 poster...

I can really imagine (and hope) the dvd cover looking like yours Gwildor, good job :thumb:

BTW, I think that the poster that anger is pointless is referring to is the very first post on this thread, the picture of Ariel sitting on a rock :) [/b]

Thank you! My brother helps me sometimes!

Well, I think that Disney won't do something like that... It's to simple and they usually make covers with more characteres...

But maybe the Collectors Gift Set will be similar!

Anyway I don't know how to send pics to disney! :( Sorry

Yeah, Corpse Bride is definetely an exciting event! Finally something that doesn't follow the trend!
