Honestly, most of these covers are garbage. The 2nd/Classic VHS cover is a nice iconic image though and I've always loved the Deluxe Masterpiece VHS cover.

Will you include the VHS tape covers for the individual shorts?

I actually think there are four really good covers for this!

My favorite is The Masterpice VHS. It's so classy with the white, and the font, and the use of just the right amount of colored characters. Very much evoking the film and it's storybook. My second favorite is The Friendship Edition DVD, I guess because of the deep colors, which is also great with the storybook page white, and something about the composition is nice. My third favorite is the 25th Anniversary DVD, once again, classy, but this one was just a little less classy looking than my first favorite. And my fourth favorite is the Blu-ray. I think the rest of the covers actually are bad.

Fun fact: The movie is called "Filmen om Nalle Puh" in Sweden. The Swedish name for Winnie the Pooh is "Nalle Puh" which translates to "Teddy-Pooh". So the movie title translates to "The movie about Teddy-Pooh" ("The movie about Winnie the Pooh"). And the Winnie the Pooh franschise is really popular in Scandinavia.

The other ones I like are the Japanese Blu Ray, Australian VHS, and all of the Swedish ones!

I'm so glad we agree Amy! I also like the 1997 Swedish VHS, the 2006 Swedish DVD, and the Japanese Blu-ray, like you!

Thanks for posting all these covers, DisneyBluLife! It turned out this film has had more releases and covers than we thought! In Spain we also got the Swedish DVD cover from 2002 with Pooh, Christopher Robin and Piglet on the bridge and the Swedish Blu-ray cover from 2013.

I agree that in general the covers for this movie leave a lot to be desired. I think part of the reason is because, as we well know, Disney markets Pooh to preschoolers, and it seems they think they don't need to make a big effort to please that audience.

I'll rank just my top 5 this time:

1. Swedish DVD from 2002: Christopher Robin and Piglet could've been drawn a bit better, but this is quite a nice cover.

2. Japanese Blu-ray: This one is also very nice and the characters are quite on-model.

3. UK 5-movie collection DVD: It's very simple, but Pooh is really well drawn here and I like the yellow and red theme.

4. UK DVD from 2002: What I like about this cover is that it looks like a book illustration. Pooh is also quite well-drawn, but I just wish they had given more expression to his eyes; he looks like a inanimate teddy bear.

5. Deluxe Masterpiece VHS (above): It's the same drawing of Pooh from the previous cover, but I prefer it without the other characters below.


And the worst one in my opinion is the DVD with Pooh's face taking up all the cover.

The Masterpiece VHS is my favorite, then the Friendship Edition.
