So, as it looks now for the US , here are the unreleased/unannounced DAC titles on Blu-ray:

The 6 package films
101 Dalmatians (probably a diamond edition in '14)
Th Sword in the Stone
The Jungke Book (probably a diamond edition in '14)
The Black Cauldron
Aladdin
Hercules
Tarzan
There probably going to be released like this

101 Dalmatians - Diamond Edition Fall 2014
Th Sword in the Stone - 50th Anniversary Nov./Dec. 2013
The Jungke Book - Diamond Edition Spring 2014
The Black Cauldron - Fall 2013/2014
Aladdin - Diamond Edition/2 Movie Collection 2015
Hercules - 2 Movie Collection 2015
Tarzan - 2 Movie Collection 2015

If you´re wondering, Sword speaks of the TV VHS Zero to Hero.

My predictions:

2014:
101 Dalmatians (spring diamond edition)
The Jungle Book (fall diamond edition)
Aladdin (late spring/early summer)
The Sword in the Stone (early summer)
The Black Cauldron (late summer)
Hercules (late summer)
Tarzan (late summer)

If there's another release this year my bet's on The Sword in the Stone for this fall. I only think one more title will be released this year with the recent additions of Oliver & Company and Robin Hood.

The 6 package films are likely to be released all on the same day or 3 in the beginning of 2014 or 2015 and the other 3 later in the same year.

I also look for Pixar to give 2 or maybe more titles the 3D treatment next year. My money is on Cars and A Bug's Life.

Why would Disney spend money on that? They never released it on dvd, so they'd have to upgrade it. I doubt they'd do that. I hope I'm right. :P

According to the Peter Pan blu-ray insert, The Jungle Book will be the 2014 spring diamond edition.

Isn't Aladdin the 2014 fall Diamond Edition?

Not according to the booklet but we've had other hints that's it will be.Go figure.
rballest wrote:Just wanted to share that it's looking like Aladdin will be coming in Spring 2014. Amazon has listed the following book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

The book is coming out in January of 2014, and was originally scheduled to release at the beginning of this year, which is evidenced by the old description listing it as coinciding with the Spring 2013 diamond edition release. The re-scheduled date indicates that Aladdin is scheduled to come next spring (I would assume as a Diamond edition release).

I'm excited for it, but it sure does make the likely wait for 101 Dalmatians seem long!

It kinda pisses me off that Robin Hood and The Sword in the Stone are getting digital copies, but Hunchback and Mulan didn't.

I'm a little surprised those films are even getting digital copies as they're normally saved for Pixar, Diamond Editions, 3D 5-disc super sets and new Classic titles (Bolt onwards).

I guessed right with this one. I kinda figured that if they released another title this year it'd be TSITS.

Thing is, Mulan and Hunchback Blu-rays were Double-Features. Disney didn't feel like spending a little more for Digital copies for double films.
What is a bit shocking to me is that they're giving Digital copies to single titles like Sword/Stone and Robin Hood... yet none for many single titles previously sold? (like Treasure Planet, Great Mouse Detective, Aristocats, Roger Rabbit [yeah I know that's Touchstone, but the point being...]) What I do with these inconsistent situations? I don't use them. I could always make my own itunes file for titles that do (not) have a digital copy. From what I'm finding out, Disney's probably moving to online copy redemption instead of using a DVD to extract the digital copy, so I'm guessing they'll put in more digital copies for many of their single titles with this more affordable method.

Can´t believe that Disney dislikes so much Hercules that they´ve put it at the same level as The Black Cauldron.

Well, actually lower since TBC got a Special Edition DVD.

I suspect that the remaining titles will be released in 2014.

Hercules, Tarzan, and The Black Cauldron will probably be released on the same day (my guess is in the Summer) since these 3 movies are considered "boy films".

Aladdin will probably be released in the fall. I'm not sure if it'll be a diamond edition or not.

101 Dalmatians: Fall diamond edition
The Jungle Book: Spring diamond edition

The 6 package films will probably be released 3 at a time in May and June or the Fall.

I suspect that the only 2 sequels/prequels that won't get released are "Belle's Magical World" and "Hercules: Zero to Hero".

...and that'll wrap up the DACs on Blu-ray!

Agree. The way they treat Hercules and Hunchback is disgusting. If they could put Hercules, HOND, and TBC under a carpet and never be seen again they would.

" Herc-u-les what's that " ?

Aladdin might be a future " You Failed us son " as well. The way they're treating Aladdin at the moment spells to me that they will.

It's so sad because Hunchback to me is the best movie they've ever released.

Because it was already on VHS and Hercules only got one actual release.

Thou I gotta say if they do release it, they might as well make Tarzan a "trilogy".

The Aladdin Blu-ray seems to be a great release. Shame on Disney for not making it a Diamond release. They treat Aladdin (and Hunchback and Hercules) like shit. Aladdin deserves to be a Diamond title, and I hope Disney soon will understand how bad they are treating several of their classic 90's movies.
