Regardless of your love for 2D Disney animation (or mine for that matter - in a perfect world, both traditional and stop motion animated films would be made at Disney alongside CG films), what I just bolded is a really odd argument. Sorry to say, it just is. You may as just well say that stop motion should be used in Art Nouveau interpretations of Jules Verne stories, or that all CG animated films be about desk lamps and inanimate objects because the first films using the medium concerned such things. Anthropomorphic animals can work fine in any medium of animation. The only reason I think the CG animation overall looks to be better in
Zootopia compared to
Chicken Little is that computer animation is generally in a state of technical improvement as a general medium and
Chicken Little was made with artists who didn't have much training in computer animation. In any case, it was ten years ago. Time to move on.
Then again, getting into an argument with you when there's no way you're going to listen and you're only going to rant, despite being warned by a bloody moderator. It makes me want to don the stage and belt my heart out to Sondheim...

You know, technical improvement in CGI is kind of a controversy in-and-of-itself. It's because movies like
The Incredibles were made that artists no longer want to draw human characters by hand and can populate animated films with CG people instead. The controversy is CGI being so advanced that it takes the place of
anything hand-drawn. Problem is, a lot of people don't see it that way. They think seeing every new Pixar movie do more and more in the computer is something praiseworthy with no consequence whatsoever to other mediums. But I used to think that way too about Pixar.

If only Jason Bateman shared her enthusiasm with this feature. He wasn't at D23 & I rarely see any pics of him working on this feature.

He'll just block you like she did. You need to stop harassing Disney employees on Twitter. They have no saying over the medium chosen for their films, anyway.

Well they sure don't show any guilt about helping Disney kill hand-drawn either.
Yeah that's right, woop it up, you fools.

I think that describes what we're all thinking. Every time I see another post in the KH thread, I'm just: make it stop!?!?!? ><

You should all know what has to be done for this to end. Disney needs to correct everything they've done wrong by shutting down their CGI and re-establishing themselves as a hand-drawn studio again.

Whoooooooooooooooooooa there, boy.
I don't take being called an idiot very well at all. I am a college educated, self-sufficient woman who is versed (in varying degrees of competency) in several foreign languages.
Do
not refer to me as an idiot again.

Yep, the D23 hangover is fill effect

. Disney has the end year locked with Pixar's the Good Dinosaur "who's goody bags are already available at Subway" & every store littered with Star Wars VII toys. Who knows when Zootopia's first full trailer will drop, & I don't expect any new announcements for Moana & Gigantic for the rest of this year. Hopefully D23 Japan in early November will give us some new info "other than new Kingdom Hearts III gameplay.

2Disney4Ever wrote:Like we need another Chicken Little from Disney. They've never really been their true selves ever since that movie came into existence. Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh really seemed to be bringing Disney back again, but alas, they're now further away from themselves than ever before.
"Chicken Little" is something that truly can be called as a dud. What could've been a decent, entertaining, yet a unspectacular film, ended up being a hyperactive, heartless and muddled mess. The first half of the movie was fine, yet afterwards it was zig-zagging between blatant and jarring humor and action and sappy sentimentality (along with a horrible score). It's a pity to think that it was from the same crew behind "The Emperor's New Groove"! The only redeeming thing were the pop culture references and Abby Mallard, but "Chicken Little" is truly something awful!

Woah!!!I came in here at the wrong time.
Well, I was going to talk about the quality of how anthromorphic cgi animals can vary if the overall design is appropriately recognizable and cartoony. Design > Medium. Just imagine if Wes Anderson's
FMr.F had terrible designs with the wrong proportions and style. It wouldn't be the medium's fault if the design sucks.
Again, I am shocked by the drama.

Why is the internet going Nazi just to prove points?
As regard for the directors of WDAS recent productions, it is true. They have
no control whether they can pick the medium of the production. That is why a lot of director and writers who took financial risks with animation left the studio. I think it's not a bad thing. Glen Keane, John Kahrs and Chris Sander didn't stomp their feet in a tantrum. They left for bigger and better things without putting other people's job at risks. There was a man who did this before, Don Bluth. Though WDAS is criticized as being anti-socialist or unfair towards workers, it contains intelligent and mature artists who know what to do when things go rough.
So 2Disney4ever, please don't go thinking your tantrums will get your ideas anywhere. There is a mature and respectful way to go about things.

Okay, that message was just plain immature. And trolling people on Twitter is not only immature but really tasteless. And please, don't forward the exact same replies you post in the forum to me in private messages. I may not reply to every message on here, but I'm very likely to still read them.
