Thank you Old Fish Tale!

Oooooh I love the details about her dress! At first I thought the LED lights were extreme and they could just CGI sparkles on her...but after thinking about it I love that the magic light to her dress will actually physically be there and am excited about it! I feel bad for her having to wear it though, lol.

I saw and downloaded those photos of the chateau long ago. I probably should have posted them here when I found them back then. It looks great, I can't wait to see the completed version!

The costumes weren't "amazing" like I expected, but they are good costumes. As a gay guy, I really like what the pants show off...

Another update from the girl who attended the screening.

Q: Also, you know that pic of Lily James as Ella in the blue dress riding the horse in the meadows? What is going on in that scene? I've always been curious. My guess is that it occurs before she becomes a servant because she is still pretty clean.
A: No she was a servant by that point.
Q: She looks really clean and dresses very nice for a servant.
A: Why she has that dress is explained in the movie.
Q: Oh so those are not her servant clothes.
A: Yes they are.
Q: Im confused, why are her servant clothes and her face so clean then?
A: It's explained in the movie!

I was just about to post that! Very interesting that the picture we have been seeing is Ella in her scullery maid outfit. She looks very clean. I wonder what the reason could be? I want to see this film so badly, or read the screenplay! Screw spoilers! I cannot wait any longer!

Also, the same poster on IMDB said the film was about an hour and a half. I don't know why but I wanted this to be a full two hours for some reason.

True, those fencing uniforms are what they should look like and look very good.

That blue dress Cinderella rides on the horse in that still did kind of look like her servant dress... But I was hoping she would have one that looked more like a servant dress, and that looked more like the one in the original film. I am rather curious to see how the film explains that now too. It's a rather beautiful dress.

That building can' be part of the set though, it already excist as not the prince's palace. I guess they built an all new set inside the building?

Yes, they were filming inside. By the way, didn't we see the palace's gymnasium in 'Cinderella: A Twist in Time'? I can't remember as I only saw that film twice...

There was, the Prince and the King here having sword practice.

Yes, I think they were filming inside the school for the fencing scene. I'm not entirely sure, but I think an estate called Blenheim Palace might be used for the king's castle. I know they filmed there, but I'm not sure what they would use that palace for other than it being the residence of the royal family.

Yes, I saw the filming locations too. For the palace, I believe they're combining interiors from here and there.

I wonder if her servant clothes are so clean/nice because possibly the Stepmother doesn't want others in the community to know she's keeping her stepdaughter as a slave in this version?

Disney's Divinity, that's a good point. In all the Cinderella movies, I've always wondered why Cinderella's father's friends and neighbors never said anything or came to her rescue once she became a scullery maid. I guess it can be assumed that back then it was normal for a penniless orphan to earn their keep at a home as a servant, even for their stepfamilies, and especially for females, who had virtually no rights, and therefore, had no choice but to become servants.

That makes perfect sense. If they took that into consideration, it's already smarter than I expected.

I was hoping all the main buildings in this film would all be made from scratch, either by CGI or physical sets. You know, all new stuff because they are creating a world that is specific to this film, not old already existing places.

As for Cinderella's appearence as a servant, if it was expected by society for her to be a servant, they would still expect her to wear servant clothes. In the original film, I actually think that it just made sense for her to wear "work clothes" because it would seem normal for even someone living in her rich estate to wear clothes meant for work while she's, well, working. It's just that no one would know she does all the work and all the time.

Personally I thought for this film she wore the prettier dress because she thinks "Even though I've been made a servant, I can still dress like a lady and try to be as free and do what I want as much as possible".
