Don't you think what this movie will do for the characters is going to be awesome?
Maleficent will become even more popular than ever.
...and Aurora (even as secondary character) will be given the recognition she so needed.
No more would she be just Sleeping Beauty or another princess... she will be remembered as Aurora from now on.

This video is an interview with Don Hahn, at 7:26 he talks about Maleficent. There's not a whole lot of new information about it, but it's nice to hear from the people involved.

Wow it sounds great!!! Gives me hope for Angelina's actiing in this, I mean, saying she's born for the part and that the dailies are already great. And we were right that the reason this is filming now so far in advance of the premiere date is because of all the CGI and post production they need to do!
By the way, I'm with everyone who said those recent posters are fakes, or at least not official from Disney. Photoshop!!!!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter to make movie debut?
According to The Sun, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt will play Princess Aurora, Jolie's on-screen-daughter, in upcoming fantasy film Maleficent. A source is said to have told the tabloid: "Ange thought it would be a fun experience for her and Viv to share, and Viv is a natural. The other kids are now nagging Ange and Brad to land them roles."

Her daughter is 4 years old. I'm guessing she might briefly play a young Aurora?

I'd imagine if it's true it'll just be a few brief scenes of Aurora's early childhood.
The most surprising line in that post for me was "on-screen-daughter". So Aurora is Maleficent's daughter now? That has to be a mistake...

I know the issue is old and it didn't seem to catch on anywhere, but did anyone every email the artist that uploaded the teaser poster? His website doesn't list Disney as a client but it may just not have been updated. I agree it's poorly done but I'm so curious. I sent him an email. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything back.

To clear up my earlier statement, I was referring to the "on-screen daughter" aspect of the article. I think it'd be fine to have her daughter play Aurora, I just don't think Aurora the character should be Maleficent's daughter.

I think it would make sense; could it be that Maleficant curses her at that age over being a baby? Or is that too much of a liberty with the story? Otherwise we will have aurora as a baby, a toddler and a teenager. Bit of Aurora overkill? Unless it is just a snippet.

I'm betting it'll be just a snippet, or at most a flashback or two.
Like Tangled's opening when we saw Rapunzel as a baby, a toddler, and a 17-18yo.

Yeah, it's definitely fanmade. Disney puts the studio logo over the title, not the release date.
