Yes, if a computer does have a BD player built-in, BD discs will work on them.

Oh my...

I know blu rays should play on computers with blu ray players, but someone on this thread said it shoudln't.

As I've said, I have tried playing TPATF blu ray on a computer (that has a blu ray player) and it didnt work.

I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem.

You know, I just remembered something. You recall in Tiana's Showboat Jubilee in Disney World/Disneyland how Tiana and Naveen could understand Louis?

Perhaps that part with them understanding animals DID stick with them.

Like I said, a software that supports blu-ray-such as Interactual or PowerDVD-is required.

I'm sorry to ask this again, but since I can't pm anyone with a Blu-Ray player, I have to ask generally. What are the BD-Live features on this release? I have the Combo version of this movie, and whether or not it has any good BD-Live features may affect what type of Blu-Ray player I get.

Well, it's just a Disney attraction. Accuracy isn't always needed.

They're really just trailers. A real waste of a server, if you ask me. They dont even do what Universal does and update trailers that appear pre-menu. They're might be something connected to one of the games, but Im not holding my breath.

The old BD-live server is much better. Actually, it's still up.

Well, not like it's selling out but the DVD and BR versions have gone OOP.

So, whenever they do run out, you'll have to get the combo pack, which is the one you should be getting in the first place.

WHAT?! OOP?! :jawdrop:

You mean people who don't have a BD player won't be able to get the standard DVD? :(

It's still on shelves? But in the combo pack (1DVD+1BR+1DC) you can watch on whichever portal you want.

Maybe I should be clearer, there are 3 different releases, 2 of them are going out of print and the last one is the combo pack.

Why? To make people convert to BD more quickly? Cheapskates. :X

Well, the obvious answer is yes, and although I'm not sure the pricing of the combo pack, I'm pretty sure it's cheaper than buying either one or both. More bang for your buck and although Disney are painted to be a miserly company, this does nothing but reduces revenue streams for them since they are taking both DVD and BR off the market and packaging them together cheaper. Of course they make so much on each disc anyway that it might be irrelevant to them losing a few dollars.

No, so that you will buy the release you SHOULD BE BUYING ANYWAYS. Because to get one or the other, when the price difference is maybe 5 bucks, is not at all smart or looking towards the future.

I already have the combo pack, and have had it since I got it back in March when it came out. I'm just mad because it feels like Disney's trying to cut corners or something.

I don't think that's "cutting corners" at all. Is any other movie studio out there releasing movies as a DVD, a Blu-ray, and a Combo Pack (and sometimes even a second combo pack in DVD packaging)?! No. There is no need to have so many releases for every movie. They should be putting out one release. A Combo Pack. That's all there should be, as it is cheaper for them to do it that way, and it is cheaper for the consumer in the long run to do it that way.

Well, Friday is a freebie day at school and we're watching TPATF! Except, I'll be out of class, helping with a petting zoo for a school celebration (which is really cool, anyway). Still, it would have been the first time I would have seen TPATF since December...

Haven't bought the BD yet...

Well the love story is certainly all kinds of artificial.

It's a pity really, that my nostalgia trip back is not living up to its memories.

Disney's love stories are so artificial it's pathetic.

I must say though that everything else is top notch.

I think they've got to get rid off or at least improve their romance subplot because it's not working out with very poor development.

Wait a minute. There's no indication that TPATF DVD is OOP. It's still available online from retailers and as of yesterday, still on shelves.
