The Cover isn't bad, but why red?

I think the red looks nice. It's a different theme from most of the other Platinum Editions. Most of them have a blue theme going on.

I really, really like the red cover...I didn't like the gloomy colors on the older version of the cover.

The first cover wasn't glommy.

Well, maybe "gloomy" wasn't the right word, but the original cover just wasn't as colorful as I would have liked, so I like the colorfulness of the red.

I liked the first cover, it wasn't just red, but had contrast with the blue sky at the top.

I think the new cover art is far superior to the first draft. This looks much more like a Platinum Edition cover art. I think this is one of the best Platinum Edition cover arts, probably in my top 3. I think the red all over gives a more intimate feeling to the cover art, and the gold accents it very well.

I just noticed that the new cover arts for "101 Dalmatians" and "The Aristocats" appear to be mirror images of one another. On "101 Dalmatians" the main characters appear on the top, with the male on the left and the female on the right, on "The Aristocats" the female is on the left and the male is on the right. Both cover arts feature the DVD title in the center of the picture. "101 Dalmatians" features the villain in the bottom right, with the other puppies on the bottom left, while "The Aristocats" features the villain in the bottom left and the other kittens/cats in the bottom right.
Check it out:

I thought it was interesting.

Someone better inform Disney so they can change this. "Wait don't tell them, because they won't do anything about it!"

I like the first draft still. Anyways March is 3 months away, so Disney could cahnge the cover once or twice before it's release date, as well as features and specifications too.

Though I do love Cruella, I still would prefer to see Pongo on the spine.

I don't think so, this looks very much like final cover art to me. I really think this will be the final draft, if any changes arise, they will probably be very small, like with Peter Pan's first and final cover arts. The only change I would hope for is having Pongo represented on the spine.

We do have 3 months to go, so we will have to see what Disney does before then.
