This film has some of the most incredible animation in any movie! The story however isn't that impressive. A few amusing moments and a plot that has been done billions of times before, I personally found it a bit boring. While the 2-Disc Edition looks incredible, I personally wouldn't go all over eBay just to find it! In other words rent it first, if you really love the movie, then buy it!
which Cinderella DVD should i buy gift set or other ?

Have you gone to the Disney store to see if you can pre order the Gift Set and get the lithos and the plushes? If you are not able to do that, I would go with the Gift Set.

does anyone know yet if bestbuy will have a special offer with the cinderella release like maybe a plushie or something or sometimes albertosns had a special offer or target or whatever but it may be too soon to tell so we'll see

The best offer for the Cinderella DVD that I have seen advertised is at Wal-Mart. They will be offering choice of three plushies along with the best price ever.......$15.87. Don't think there is anyone selling it that cheaply.
Of course there is always Suncoast Motion Picture Company, they are offering a Cel from the movie along with their typical $3 coupon for your next purchase........but they are charging $19.99 for the Cinderella 2-Disc edition.
Best Buy will have a special "Best Buy Only" Gift set for Cinderella, but I haven't seen what is going to be in it. I have heard that it will be a diorama of the carriage with the Prince and Cinderella as seen in the last scene in the movie. Just what I have heard, have not seen anything in print.
Hope this helps.

Now I place my question.
I'm about to preorder it from amazon (through ultimatedisney). The thing is: they'll charge me when the movie gets released not before, right?

Correct-o-mundo!!! Why no wait and see what stores have it at what price and get it that way. You will save a lot more that way. No shipping charges and you can return it with out paying mailing fees if there turns up to be a flaw in it. Buy it from a store, not on-line. Besides your credit card is safer that way. You can't hack cash!!

Maybe Evil Genie Jafar wants to give back to the site that gives him a place to find out about Disney DVDs and a place to discuss them. Maybe because you have as good of a chance of someone reaching into your wallet and stealing your credit card at Wal-Mart as you do of it somehow getting hacked through an online purchase. Maybe because Amazon.com is renowned for first-rate customer service, guarantees a safe transaction, and will be glad to replace your DVD (at no cost) if anything isn't perfect with it. And maybe because Amazon's got a 43% off discount on the Platinum Edition and a 35% off discount on the Gift Set, and that's savings enough for a quick and easy transaction that saves one the trouble of going to the store, plus free shipping within the United States. Just because you had a bad experience ordering online doesn't mean that it's a frequent occurrence. I myself have made well over 100 purchases online and have never had a problem with credit card theft or unsatisfactory product, nor has anyone I'm in regular contact with.
For Evil Genie Jafar and anyone else interested in supporting what we do at UltimateDisney, here are links to preorder at Amazon. I can guarantee you that no physical store will beat Amazon's $32.49 price on the Gift Set without some kind of mistake.
Cinderella: Platinum Edition ($16.98, 43% off)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... /ref=nosim
Cinderella: Collector's Gift Set ($32.49, 35% off)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... /ref=nosim
It is people who order through UD's links to Amazon that ensure this site stays online, and that you can browse it without being bombarded by obtrusive advertising. Without that, there'd be no UD, or not the reader-friendly experience the site currently offers.

Thank you Luke...
Wow... you really had to say all those things
But you're right:
Here are my reasons to buy it in amazon (through ultimatedisney).
1. I want to support the site at least once.
2. I haven't got my account hacked (thank God)
3. With the excepction of The Lion King and Aladdin, I'm not desperate to get Cinderella as soon as it comes out so I might as well wait. And even tough with the S&H it will probably arise to $20, well it doesn't matter because I can support the site this way and it would be the same price I'd have to pay for the movie anyways.
PS
Luke, you forgot to answer me. If I place the order right now, will I be charged right away or when the movie gets out?
Because if it's right away, I'll still buy it trough the site but later on.

EGJ - Your card won't be charged until the item ships.
The Cinderella DVD is roughly $17. May I suggest that you get another item with it that costs around $8? That way, you'll end up paying $25, which will get you free shipping from Amazon. That's $25 for 2 items vs. $20 for 1 item ($20 being the price you used- I don't know shipping option you'd use). Marketplace orders won't count, but there are plenty of DVDs that can be gotten for around $8. Another item that I know of off the top of my head is a book,
The Quotable Walt Disney, which they sell at Disney World (link supports UD). It's only $8.76 (cheaper than at WDW, btw). I'm hoping to order that one myself. Just a suggestion.

Thank you.
I've thought about that... but I can't find anything around that price I can get.
If not, I'l just place the order for Cinderella then.
Thanks.

I'll get mine at Target because of the convenience (plus I dig those Target colors and that logo

Where should I buy the Cinderella DVD?
At the store, silly!
I'm not much of an internet shopper, but I usually get my DVDs at Wal*Mart or Target. They're only about $20 there and they're always in good condition. Best Buy is also a good place. They're prices can sometimes be higher than anything, but sometimes they're surprisingly low, like around $7-10.

Best Buy has always been my thing, therefore I'm getting Cinderella's Gift Set at BB.
I really liked the movie, so I do want the book and drawings.
And all the other PE movies that came out with a Gift Set, I own (which is just Aladdin and TLK) and I kinda like to keep things uniformed...

I don't think I'll buy any edition of Cinderella. For me Cinderella was kinda boring. Perhapes yous hould buy it at Costco, it's cheap there(mainly because they don't sell slipcovers!

).
