Everything around this movie feels so chaotic. I can't imagine how workers are trying to have everything ready for the release date.
I mean this is nothing new for WDAS though. And this isn’t just going back to Frozen 2, this dates back to Black Cauldron, Aladdin, The Emperor’s New Groove, Chicken Little, Bolt, etc.Thumper_93 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 5:32 am Everything around this movie feels so chaotic. So we should celebrate toxic work conditions because they're normal?D23ExpoVisitor25 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 7:29 amI mean this is nothing new for WDAS though. Ok, first of all, that first part was not about celebrating it, it was more like just being real about how these things have mostly been.Pokenonbinary wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 5:32 amSo we should celebrate toxic work conditions because they're normal?D23ExpoVisitor25 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 7:29 am

This movie most likely has the most explotive work conditions, they transformed a TV series into a movie in less than one year, you realise that the animators have been most likely working 24/7 since January? (I guess they at least gave them Christmas and new years vacation, I don't think they're that evil)
Entertainment Weekly has published more Moana 2 articles.D82 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 7:14 pmThis other article from Entertainment Weekly expands a bit on Maui's arc in the sequel.D23ExpoVisitor25 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 10:30 amCover story out from Entertainment Weekly on Moana 2: https://ew.com/moana-2-disney-aulii-cra ... ry-8710022.
More like a 60-second spot than a trailer, especially if this isn’t played in front of The Wild Robot.
Not bad.Sotiris wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 12:08 pm Sneak peek from the song "We're Back"

No, I disagree because Pixar still has Elio and Hopper next summer and in Spring 2026 and there is still that untitled animated original film from Walt Disney Animation Studios that releases in 2026, which may be Suzi Yoonessi film.Thumper_93 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 5:50 am I am not very impressed about the sneak peak of the song but let's wait to see the final resault.
I understand that there are people obsessed with this movie to be a hit thinking than then Disney is going to make great things again.
This movie beeing a hit only means that Disney is going to still making sequels instead of original movies. Their problem is that they are focussing their efforts too much in creating movies only to represent cultures and people instead of focus all their forces into making beautiful stories full of great characters and good songs. This movie is the easy way for Disney and I'm affraid that we are going to experiment another sequels era because it's easy money for them.
Companies want money. They can have new movies in development but this would not be the first time that they cancel things just because they don't want to risk. I think that making sequels of popular movies to earn money is not a good idea and I'm sorry but nobody is going to change my mind.D23ExpoVisitor25 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 7:51 amNo, I disagree because Pixar still has Elio and Hopper next summer and in Spring 2026 and there is still that untitled animated original film from Walt Disney Animation Studios that releases in 2026, which may be Suzi Yoonessi film.Thumper_93 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 5:50 am I am not very impressed about the sneak peak of the song but let's wait to see the final resault.

All the more reason why Tiana should go from Disney+ series to big screen movie, especially if Moana 2’s numbers make Disney decide to go there.Thumper_93 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 11:08 amCompanies want money. Doing a TV series is different because people tend to watch them and forget that they saw it in a couple of months. However a sequel is more permanent in people's mind.
Agreed. Me too.DisneyFan09 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 3:11 pm I like the new poster. It was really beautiful and lovely![]()
Amazing. Every word of what you just said is wrong. The CS for Wish was an A-,not a B+, the plot will not be empty, the new song is catchy so far, and the new characters will not be soulless since Jennifer Lee said they'll each get a moment to shine.Pokenonbinary wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 7:52 am This movie is definetly getting a B+ cinemascore like Wish, but also like Frozen 2 that made 1.4 billion at the box office
The plot will be very empty, the song very mediocre (the one we have listened is very generic like Wish) and the new characters soulless since they went from TV show to movie erasing all their character development
