Question:
Since Europe didn´t get Peter Pan as Diamond Edition, does the go back to the vault policy apply to it?

Thanks for posting the german Jungle Book trailer!!
Does this mean we'll be getting the Fullscreen uncropped version this time?

No, it doesn't.

@stevemcqueen: You're welcome.
I hope actually, they'll release it in its intended aspect ratio, which is 1.75:1.

Today I got Aladdin, Mulan and Hunchback.
Wao! Disney really dropped the ball.
The discs don´t even feature art. They´re just blue with the name on it.
During the day I´ll check the video quality.
By the way, Hunchback has the same 2 features of the DVD. Nothing else.

When Disney stopped to care about their films?
I could (still Disney is Disney) understand that the company didn´t want to spend that much effort to their lesser known films.
But what happened with Hunchback, Mulan, Aladdin, Hercules, Tarzan and such?
It feels really sad customers care much more for the Classics than Disney themselves.
Especially when we´re taling about animated films. There´s no way in the world that you can´t have anything regarding the making of such films.
If Disney thinks that the they can make more money off me then they´re in for a surprise.
Of course, I´d want the best extras as possible for each film. But still, to me the film itself is what matters. And if the BR is good as it gets in terms of video and audio quality then Disney will see not a single cent for me anymore.

That's the problem. Disney stopped giving a shit about giving their releases their all after they put Beauty and the Beast out on Blu-ray. I mean, why do you think they screwed us over with Fantasia's release?

Point to me.
I thought I woudln´t buy the BR releases because I already had the Platinum releases.
Then I saw the BR quality. So, I started making the collection in this format.
But other than that, if Disney doesn´t care to put extras on each film (even port the ones from the DVD releases or from the Laserdiscs) and the video and audio quality are great then that´s as much as they´re going to get from me.

Disney of all companies should know that you can effectively lobby for classic status if you make something seem special enough. But I guess they're just not interested in putting in the effort to secure a legacy for more than a handful of titles.

Well to me, releasing the films in a superior video format is more important than porting over all of the bonus features.
That's all trim and dressing as far as I'm concerned. Watching a movie on DVD now makes my eyes bleed.

I agree with you, but I still think they have a point! I only care about short films...

The thing is that the video and audio quality on BR is a given. That´s the main reason for the upgrade. So, it´s not like Disney is doing us a favor with that.

The FSK, the German film rating board, just rated new bonus material for the European Diamond Edition of The Jungle Book. Let's take a look:
- Alternate Ending (08:22)
Growing Up with 9 Old Men (41:04) (The same featurette Disney produced for the Diamond Edition of Peter Pan, which wasn't released in Europe)
I wanna be like you: A visit in Disney's Animal Kingdom (18:23)
Introduction by Richard Sherman (00:28)
For some strange reason, they also rated the old Disneypedia featurette again. So this is the only old featurette we know for sure, will be included again with the Diamond Edition.

So, just Hercules and The Black Cauldron are left.
Anyone dares to bet thatThe Black Cauldron ends up first on BR than Hercules?

Yayayaya!!! I love Robin Hood! Can't wait for the Blu!
So, as it looks now for the US , here are the unreleased/unannounced DAC titles on Blu-ray:
The 6 package films
101 Dalmatians (probably a diamond edition in '14)
Th Sword in the Stone
The Jungke Book (probably a diamond edition in '14)
The Black Cauldron
Aladdin
Hercules
Tarzan

Even if Hercules doesn´t end being the last one to be released on BR is still unbelievable it ranked as one of the last two. And it´s a shame.
How come Home on the Range is already on BR and Hercules isn´t?
At least, they better treatment the movie nice.
