I actually like the first one, I'm pretty tired of Aurora always sleeping on the cover (I know it's what the film's about, but still)

The first cover would be better IMO if the prince was on the bottom and I do admit I like the Malificent/Dragon picture from 3 and 4.

Disney Duster wrote:A long time ago someone posted that some French Disney site had a survey web site visitors could partake in and vote on which cover for the Sleeping Beauy Platinum Edition they liked better. Unfortunately maybe it is the last one which won. My favorite is the 4th one followed by the 2nd one and then the 3rd one. Here they all are.

The third one is gorgeous!!!! :D I hope they'll use it on a future release.

1 & 2 look too clip-arty for my taste. 3 and 4 are the best, I especially love Maleficent's cloak morphing into the dragon, I hope that image gets re-used for the diamond edition at least.

So, some BBFC timings are in...and there's some good and bad news. The good news is that the archive radio/TV materials are still intact, as are the song demos. The bad news is that the new stuff seems to be pretty short; just look at the length of the "alternate opening" (will the conclusion be that they initially thought about making the book at the beginning purple instead of a brass-like colour?). Also, the Glass Slipper feature doesn't seem to be a commentary/PiP track as I first predicted (albeit naively). :|

Wow, this is pretty much the exact same thing as the Platinum Edition. Kind of disappointing.

I'm really dissapointed too. It's like they see Cinderella as alright to just do anything superficial or just generally princess with. The only good thing they do for Cinderella is the giant celebrations and merchandise. Unless the remaining features will be some kind of commentary and substantial ones that actually have to do with the film.
Marce82 wrote:Hey, DisneyDuster...do you have higher res versions of them?
Sorry, I would have given a link to the any bigger versions, but I don't think they would have released bigger versions of it to the public anyway.

Ah, thanks, Disneyduster. I appreciate it.

So was it Disney itself trying to get people to vote on the cover, or was it a fan-made thing?

I read somewhere that the laserdisc version of Cinderella had a deleted scene called The Music Lesson. Is this true? Why hasn't it been released on DVD yet?

I think that it was largely incorporated into the "Cinderella That Almost Was" feature on the Platinum DVD.

Thanks!! That's what I figured, but I wish it was a deleted scene all on its own.

Sure thing! And it was officially by Disney! Right down to them making great covers that they stupidly don't go with! Haha.

Hey Sotiris,

So in the German dubs, they don't dub the songs? THey keep them in English? If so, tough for the kids and non-english speakers in Germany/Austria!

I like Cinderella in the new Cinderella 2...not super on-model, but she looks pretty. SHe looks terrible in the Cinderella 3 cover... but Lady Tremaine looks pretty good.

They actually do. I have no idea why they don't use the German songs in the trailers sometimes. They started this with the Beauty and the Beast-trailer.

I like how pretty much the entire trailer was based around the third film, and the second hardly got a glimpse in there !

I had actually forgotten how much I enjpyed the third film, and how much I loved the trailer when it came out ....

I love that trailer too!!!

And I love the German trology cover, it's like our 6-Disc cover done better! Although not sure which gold I like, ours might actually be better in that.

The Cinderella III cover actually does look good seeing it there, but yea Cindy looks bad there but it's her hair that is bad and it was bad on the original C-III cover from which the image is taken.

I don't get something though. Cinderella 2-3 will be sold in a standard Blu-ray case. Will the trilogy boxed set include the sequels separately, cause the 2-movie collection cover is really bad and it doesn't make sense.

I don't like the 'III' cover....it has moved away from giant floating head to just general floating people ! WHY do they have to do that ?!

I do like addition of the Stepmother and the fairygodmother at the bottom though.
